I had the most delightful stay at this charming bed and breakfast! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. The house itself is a cozy, beautifully maintained gem with so much character, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. My room was immaculately clean, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home away from home. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept like a dream.||Breakfast was a true highlight—freshly made, delicious, and served with a smile. The owner asked us what we wanted and went above and beyond to cook our request and even added extra delicious apple pasty & fruit! We could taste the care she put into every dish. There’s something special about starting your day with a homemade pastry, warm coffee, and a friendly chat with the owner.||It was very affordable and you get a “dream experience”! You will not be disappointed! Please stay at this hidden gem!!!

Mrs. Sandy is wonderful. Breakfast is always great. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We were only supposed to be there 3 nights, our situation took a sudden turn and we stayed 9 nights. Thank you !

What an amazing experience. Kathy’s professional caring service was so welcoming. The Rose Room was comfortable. Our breakfast was delicious from the fresh fruit compote through the waffle’s & tasty bacon. Hands down, this is a top B&B!

Kathy and Tim were the most gracious hosts. The house has a lovely charm! Lots of antiques to admire. The room was beautifully decorated, bed was comfortable and we had our own en-suite. Coffee is available throughout the day via Keurig. Breakfast was easy to request. The outside deck is a quiet place to relax with drinks. The cats will keep you entertained outside. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you, Kathy & Tim for a very relaxing time!

This is a great place to stay in south central Alabama. You can Relax or chat with other residents on the front porch, in the parlor, or at the breakfast table. Furthermore, this house was owned by my family many years ago and has a very interesting history. We have stayed here twice in the past 3 years and plan to come back next year. It is conveniently located to several towns and businesses in south Alabama.Two years ago, we stayed here when we wanted to visit the museum of Pioneer History in Troy. We stayed here last week to attend the World Championship Domino Tournament in Andalusia. It is also conveniently located to Enterprise, Fort Rucker, and south Montgomery. And It is much nicer than the small motels in the area. Rooms are large, well appointed, and clean. Bathrooms are also large and very clean. The owner, Kathy Dowdy, is very personable and takes time to talk with every guest and determine their personal needs. The house is in a safe and secure area. And perhaps most notably, the breakfast is incredibly good. Fresh fruit, juice, coffee, grits, eggs, bacon, sausage, gravy, biscuits, hash brown casserole, pancakes, and much more.

I absolutely love to stay at the Camellia House. It is beautiful and Kathy & Tim are wonderful and make you feel welcome. Also the breakfast is fantastic!

We stayed at the Camellia House while in town for a singing and loved it. Tim and Kathy made us feel so at home. The house was beautiful and homey. Breakfast was amazing! The smell of bacon cooking in the morning was wonderful,especially when it was cooked and served in the beautiful dining room along with fresh fruit and pancakes. So thankful for the opportunity to stay. We will hopefully get to come back soon

We had our first experience at a bed & breakfast when we booked a room at Camellia House. Best decision we ever made. Kathy was so easy to work with and made us feel like part of the family. The room was excellent and the price was even better. Breakfast was fantastic. We highly recommend the Camellia House to everyone who wants to feel like your at home. Will definitely be back.
