Nice location, very friendly staff and relatively clean. Did have some issues with the pool being full of bugs with the skimmers not functioning due to low water level also noticed several nearby outdoor electrical outlets without covers and one with wires hanging. Pool furniture was nice landscaping in the front of the hotel was nice but needed a little attention around the pool. The main exterior of the hotel looked pretty good. Once again, the staff was extremely friendly all the way from the housekeepers to the front desk and maintenance.

2 great experiences in 1 week. The hotel was half way to our destination on Monday. Great reception! Our suites were ready when we arrived, clean and very spacious. Staff made us feel welcome and were great during the stay. We enjoyed our stay enough to rebook the same rooms on our trip back home later in the week. 2nd visit was just a great as the 1st visit! We've definitely found our new stopping place for future trips!

My local Courtyard by Marriott is awesome. I called for a very "out there reason" (i.e. I needed a quiet space for two hours to have a few Zoom interviews for a job). Their boardrooms generally run for a rate of $250, but when I spoke with Stacy and explained it would just be me and my laptop, she spoke with the team and they gave me an extremely generous discount. Their reasoning was simple: they love their locals and their community.

A big hotel chain like this could've very easily made me pay $250 for a potential shot at employment, or they could've just told me to try to find somewhere else. However, I was very lucky this hotel is run by good people. When I arrived, everyone was aware why I was there (i.e. nothing was lost in translation). Christine, the receptionist, was very kind and showed me the boardroom, and that was that.

I will recommend this hotel to any of my family and friends who come to visit me. Courtyard by Marriott will be my new go-to for hotels in the future as well.

Positive: Staff was friendly Negative: My room could seriously use a deep cleaning. The stains everywhere made it uncomfortable to even want to sit down in the room. The housekeeping staff didn?t thoroughly check the room as they had to come change lightbulbs, bring shower gel that was out etc

Why i am giving this hotel a 2 star? It is way too over priced. There is no breakfast unless you pay for it. If i pay $200 plus a night for a room you could at least give me a banana in the morning. The pillows were horrible, it's like sleeping on a soggy diaper. The beds were hard. Our fridge was hot and leaking. They don't clean your rooms and you have to hunt down someone to get fresh towels the next day. My first trip to Alabama years ago we stayed here and I had been trying to find where it was and it was this place but it has changed soooo much. I would never stay here again.

The bathroom was gross. The sink and tub was stopped up. Water would not drain fast while showering. Literally standing in a dirty water. The worst hotel to be in a great area as Trussville.

The rooms here could use done work. Bathroom tile is cracked. Shelf in the closet is falling out.

But the staff are so incredibly welcoming, competent and friendly that they more than make up for the rough around the edges room.

Because of them - front desk, coffee shop, housekeeping - I am definitely coming back.

Went and met some seeout of town family and the lobby /lounge was so comfortable and relaxing. James our Bartender was excellent. He made the experience great. He was warm , inviting and informative. Enjoyed his charisma and will definitely send all other out of towners visiting here.
