This hotel was the perfect place for myself and my dog. I felt perfectly safe in this area and the hotel was close to many restaurants and shopping. The hotel was nice and clean. Employees were so nice!! This hotel has been renovated so is not brand new. Will be back again.

ZERO Star – Poor Experience from Start to Finish

I stayed at the Comfort Suites in Columbus, Georgia, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. This was, hands down, one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I’ve had. I paid for a specific type of room, expecting at least the layout and size I reserved—but instead, I was thrown into a tiny, raggedy room that was noticeably smaller than what I paid for.

When I brought this to the staff’s attention, I had to go through the hassle of moving rooms not once, but twice. And after being bounced around with no real solution, I ended up settling in Room 211 just out of pure exhaustion and frustration. Even then, it still wasn’t what I booked or expected.

The closet door in the room was broken, just hanging there off track like nobody cared to fix it. The rest of the room felt worn and dated. While the basic utilities like outlets and plumbing worked fine, the overall condition and presentation of the space were not acceptable for the price point or for the Comfort Suites brand.

To make matters worse, the front desk staff was completely incompetent. There was no sense of urgency, no proper communication, and no apology for the inconvenience. It was like they had no clue what they were doing—or didn’t care. I shouldn’t have had to beg and explain myself multiple times just to get the type of room I already paid for.

This whole experience felt like a bait and switch. The rooms online looked nothing like the one I was first given, and the level of service was beyond disappointing. I won’t be staying at this location again, and honestly, this experience has made me reconsider the Comfort Suites chain altogether. If you’re thinking about booking here—don’t.

I wished I could leave 0 stars!! Front desk representative was nice. I can in and asked to see the room first. I went in and immediately found problems!! A light switch did not work. Room was hot!! Hair was on the pillow cases… How sick is this no mattress protector on the bed at all only a plush memory foam pillow under the fitted sheet. Hard stains all over the sink counter in the bathroom. The tub was filthy!! I even have pictures of all this stuff!!! I came back down and told the front desk lady that these were the problems and showed her pictures and she said so you looked at the mattress and I said yes and she said let me call my boss because I can’t let you see another room and I thought to myself that is the only one that I have even seen!! The boss gets on the phone OH MY GOODNESS he was so rude and nasty to me. He yelled at me and said oh so you took all the covers off my bed. I said I just flipped the covers back some to check for bedbugs and a mattress protector. He said very rudely to me that he can’t accommodate me then!!! And that he will not even show me another room. I didn’t feel welcomed at all I told front desk how rude he was they didn’t say another!!! If this is how you treat guests this is not the place for me. Definitely would not recommend this FILTHY HOTEL!!!! I wouldn’t even recommend it to them homeless!!! HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT!!!

One of the worst comfort inns I have stayed at. Most times no one is present at the front desk. Breakfast tables were not wiped off in between guests. The pool was not open on days it was 90 degrees. The room size was very nice. Staff stated the owner was “cheap”. .

Hot tub was broken. Pool dirty. Skin was itchy & burned after pool. Bathtub didn’t drain well while in the shower, we were ankle deep in water. Disgusting! Closet door was broken and stayed open. Remote was broken. Dark “Fabric” couch had disgusting white looking stains. Breakfast was horrible, didn’t want to eat it.

Me and my boyfriend booked a weekend stay at this hotel (Comfort Suites Columbus, Ga). We were racially profiled. The front desk employee had me to go the atm THREE TIMES to get a $100 deposit that they ‘’supposedly’’ required. I was not allowed to just simply use my card that I put on file as I booked the reservation. This hotel failed to tell me beforehand that they even required a deposit in the first place, as well as they can’t use Chime because it ‘’has’’ to be a walk-in physical bank for them to accept my payment. As a customer, it shouldn’t matter as long as the payment has been paid in full. The room smelled awful, the toilet seat lifted, the sofa was very unclean and unsanitary, the microwave was rotted out, and my face broke completely out from the pillows they provided us. We will NOT be booking this hotel ever again because of the way we were treated by the front desk staff. The only nice, respectful employee we met was an older worker who wore glasses. I wish they were wearing name tags but no one did so it sucks that I couldn’t properly report this.

Positive: Breakfast was okay Negative: Room not clean hair was on sink , fitness center treadmill did not work, bike pedal fell off. Room was loud from traffic tv did not work and no real effort to fix it. Staff was pleasant, but not really overall concerned.

Positive: The ease of booking Negative: The description said it had an indoor pool. There was no indoor pool. The front door had a broken handle. The elevator had broken panels in the ceiling. The curtains were ripped off the window. The remote was taped shut and there were bugs in the bed.
