Had a wonderful two night stay. The room was beautiful and the beds extremely comfortable. Only complaint is the "hi tech" lighting controls. Much too complicated. Crazy not too have light switches particularly for the bathroom! The staff were all extraordinarily attentive and eager to please and the foods in "The Library" was delicious. We loved the breakfast. We also loved that most of the staff wetter students - such a wonderful idea.

My stay at The Laurel Hotel & Spa was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the service was top-tier—welcoming, thoughtful, and personalized. Annie and Sabrina made check-in seamless, even upgrading my suite and offering a guided tour. Sally, with her warmth and attentiveness, made the rooftop cabana experience unforgettable. The rooftop lounge, pool, and bar were peaceful and elegant, with music and service that flowed effortlessly throughout the day.

Every detail—from the complimentary treats and curated cocktails to the serene ambiance—felt intentional and elevating. This is a gem in Auburn, and I’m already dreaming of returning for a future retreat with loved ones. Thank you to the entire team for making this stay so special.

We stayed here for a basketball game in February, and decided to come back for a quick two-night, relaxing getaway. The staff is unbelievably accommodating and friendly. The private rooftop pool is a great place to relax, and the poolside bar has great food and drinks. We didn’t utilize the spa, but have heard great things. ā€œThe Libraryā€ is the lobby where you check in, and they provide several food ā€œpresentationsā€ (breakfast, lunch, snack, evening dessert) which are complimentary. Breakfast is phenomenal, and all of the food/pastries are freshly made in-house. Rooms are nice, beds are comfy, and an iPad allows you to control everything from curtains to TV to AC. On the ground level, there is a wonderful coffee shop as well as the ā€œHey Day Marketā€ where you will find a brewery and a food court area. Also on ground level is the 1856 restaurant which is top notch. We did the 8-course tasting which is expensive, but very unique and worth trying out. Auburn’s campus is a fantastic place to go for a walk or bike ride, just across the street from the hotel. All in all a great experience and we will be back again.

Our Valentine’s weekend at The Laurel Hotel and Spa was truly unforgettable—one of the best hotel stays we’ve ever had! From the moment we checked in at the library, we knew this was a special place. The library itself is a stunning space, offering four food services a day and a cozy, 24/7 retreat to relax and unwind. Subrina and Joseph made our experience even more delightful with their warm hospitality.||The spa, located just across the way, was equally incredible. The service was top-notch, and the products used were luxurious and rejuvenating. Our room was beautifully appointed with thoughtful touches, including an honor bar, the deepest bathtub ever, relaxation spray, and sea salt made right from the hotel’s rooftop. The turn-down service added an extra layer of indulgence.||The main hotel restaurant, 1856 is perfection. A 5-8 course tasting menu that changes every two weeks is their dinner focus. Angel is a doll and offered exceptional service. The wines paired with each course by Thomas were amazing.||The rooftop bar was the perfect place to cap off our evenings, with fantastic drinks and delicious tapas, all set against a breathtaking view. asleigh was a fantastic server and ensured we had a wonderful time.||Every detail at The Laurel Hotel and Spa feels designed for comfort and luxury, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend for a truly special getaway!

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always going out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed. The rooms were immaculate and thoughtfully equipped with great amenities that made me feel right at home upon arrival.

The rooftop bar and pool were absolute highlights—offering breathtaking views of the entire campus, especially the iconic clock tower. It was the perfect spot to relax and unwind. A big shoutout to the management team for creating such a memorable experience. Everything about my stay was amazing, and I highly recommend The Laurel Hotel and Spa to anyone seeking a relaxing, joyful getaway!

This is my first time having the pleasure of staying at the Laurel hotel. It was beyond a five star experience! It's truly a Boutique style Ritz Carlton with exceptional service and absolutely the nicest team! They were all such a pleasure to meet and get to know! They truly reflect the culture, manners, and kindness of the Auburn community.

The food throughout the day in the library was amazing. My son, who is a student, could not eat enough! (Not hard to believe!) He kept saying that the food is the best he's ever had in his life. I wish I could cook like these wonderful chefs!

The only room for improvement comments I would make.... The coffee machine in the library is delicious, But honestly, it's barely room temperature. I love a really hot cup of coffee. I preferred a trip to Starbucks sadly.

Also, I don't know how anyone without any form of technological skills can stay in the rooms. Every curtain, light, TV is controlled by an iPad. You cannot dim the lights, turn off one bedside light, and leave the other on. My elderly parents could never stay here they would be so frustrated. Technology is a wonderful thing, but sometimes a simple on off switch and dimmer switch makes the experience so much nicer.

Regardless of the two above comments, I would 100% love to stay here again. It's such an exceptional experience and everything about the hotel, and the people working here make it very memorable!

I’m someone who has visited luxury hotels around the world, and trust me when I say, this is one of the best if not THE BEST hotel in America.

It’s rare that you find great service, atmosphere, and food all in one location. Everyone from the valet to front desk even the chefs here are so polite and guarantee you are taken care of

I came to spend 1 night here on a road trip, and we loved it so much that we ended up staying 4 nights!

Safe to say I will be back and highly recommend to anyone in the auburn and even ATLANTA area

The room itself was spacious and nice, and the dinner we had there after checking in was fabulous. But the dinner was extra. The breakfast the next day was included in the room rate, and it definitely left something to be desired.

First, they had a buffet but if you wanted eggs, for some reason, you had to order them from the staff. This is not good for business travel as you need to grab and go, but this trip was for leisure, so fine, I ordered some eggs.

The toaster they had to use was old, dirty, and broken. The bagel went in, but the coils never came on. When I told the staff, they indicated that the other side of the two-part toaster worked, as if I am responsible for testing all the equipment they put out for customers to use, determine on my own what works and what doesn't, and then use only the working parts. That was bizarre.

Then, once it was finally toasted I noticed they had some butter and spreadable cheese but no peanut butter. When I asked about this, they said they had no peanut butter on the premises. I find that very hard to believe - even cheap Fairfield Inns have peanut butter to spread on your bagels or English muffins.

Last but not least, the eggs that I ordered in the beginning never came. When I inquired about it, the staff seemed surprised and went back to the kitchen to check on it. They came back to me and reported "the person to whom they gave the order couldn't get to to the area they needed as it was really crowded back there and when they finally could get it, they forgot about this order." Huh? Even if that were all true, why on earth would you ever say that to a customer?

Any one item I suppose would be excusable, but when you are paying close to $500/night, you simply cannot accept a complete melt down on the operations and customer service during the breakfast experience. It really left me feeling like I got ripped off.
