This was one of the best Hotel stays I've ever had. The staff went above and beyond for us. Their positivity and helpfulness was so appreciated. The bed was so comfortable. The rooms were gorgeous and very clean. The pool was nice as well! And it is close to so many fun downtown shops and places to eat. I will come back again for sure

Our first stay at Hyatt Regency Sonoma was absolutely wonderful and truly unforgettable. We spent a week there and felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The staff gave us a warm welcome—especially to our dog, which meant a lot to us.

We especially loved the fenced garden in the backyard—it was a perfect spot to relax. The location is super convenient, close to both restaurants and the freeway, yet still peaceful. Breakfast was great every morning, and the hotel itself was very clean and well-maintained.

We also had the chance to try some amazing wine from a nearby winery, which added to the experience. Overall, our stay was fantastic. The only small downside was one front desk staff member who could use a bit of improvement in customer service, but that didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed everything else.

We’ll definitely be coming back!

Room Assignment Issues: We specifically booked and confirmed a room with two queen beds, but was given a king bed upon check-in. Staff claimed no queen rooms were available, yet I observed these rooms being assigned to other guests despite my priority status. This directly contradicts Hyatt's commitment to elite member benefits.

Missing Elite Recognition: As a high-status member, I typically receive a warm welcome and complimentary wine upon arrival - standard benefits I've enjoyed at this property before. This time, I received no acknowledgment of my status and had to specifically request the wine amenity.

Unacceptable Staff Behavior: The front desk representatives we dealt with were unprofessionally rude, dismissive, and lacked basic customer service skills. Their attitude was so inappropriate that other guests in the lobby took notice. These staff members clearly need additional training on proper guest relations and should not be representing the Hyatt brand in their current capacity.

Substandard Alternative: After extensive discussion, they offered a two-queen room that was street-facing (extremely noisy) with a broken refrigerator - hardly an appropriate solution for a loyal customer.

Housekeeping Failures:
I requested washcloths for the bathroom and waited over an hour with no response. When I followed up at the front desk, staff delivered two regular towels used in front of tge bathroom door and said "this is what we have."

Management's Lack of Follow-up: Despite requesting that management contact me to resolve these issues, I have received no follow-up communication whatsoever. This complete lack of accountability is deeply concerning.

Overall Assessment:
This was an absolutely terrible experience that has completely changed our perception of this hotel. Despite years of loyalty and positive experiences, I am now reconsidering my future stays at this property.

This experience was completely contrary to the Hyatt standards and hospitality we have come to expect. The staff behavior and management's failure to follow up suggest serious training and leadership issues that need immediate attention.

Comfortable beds! Pillows were a little flat. Friendly staff! Beautiful building and courtyard with games for the little ones. Shower was hot and had shampoo and conditioner. The curtains fully blocked the light coming through the windows. The TV was easy to work. No microwave, but there is a mini fridge trucked in an entertainment center drawer below the tv. There is breakfast in the restaurant next door for $25, so a little bummed there wasn't a free breakfast. You also have to pay for parking per day. Down town is walking distance from the hotel.

Great stay with hospitable staff! Although this was rated a 4 star, I felt like I was part of a 5 star! Because it was Mother's day weekend, they hooked us up with a complimentary upgrade to a suite, along with vouchers for free breakfast! This added a nice extra touch in the morning as we didn't have to go hungry!

This is a great value!!! The grounds were very beautiful and clean. The staff was very friendly. Our room was big and peaceful with big windows. It is a great location being downtown - Close to food - Easy to go to the wine country, ocean and redwoods. I would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I have just spent two nights in Santa Rosa at the Hyatt. Everything about this hotel was perfect! Very clean, spacious comfortable rooms! My husband enjoyed the wonderful, outdoor pool & hot tub, and I enjoyed sitting in front of the fireplace in the lobby and enjoyed the friendly lobby bar! Breakfast and coffee service was excellent! I’m so glad I didn’t pay attention to the one star review recently given because I 100% disagree with that review. This hotel would easily rent for $800 a night in a bigger city. The value was exceptional.
