I've been meaning to write a review on this Resort for SO long. This was such a nice experience, Sonoma in general is very relaxed and I feel like most of the people embody that same quality. Most of the staff was very helpful, I wish I remembered names, but there was a younger gentleman driving the shuttle that was so genuinely kind and helpful. There is on site parking, but the shuttle service to town is a huge bonus, ask for a map at the front and make sure to save the shuttle number. Make sure to visit the breakfast place in town, though--delightful vibes. You can also arrange a local wine tasting, which is definitely a nice way to start or end the trip--it can get overwhelming with so many wineries all over. The one thing I will say is finding a time to catch the woman who was arranging tours / trips / wine tastings proved to be a bit difficult. And while she was definitely helpful, our conversation seemed to be a bit scattered especially because people kept coming up to talk and interrupt. I did really enjoy the daily wine tastings, though--they're great to try before dinner. I also really enjoyed the on-site yoga studio and the restaurant--it was very good, had knowledgeable staff and seemed to be frequented even by people outside of the hotel. I used to work in hotels and this hotel was very clean, the rooms were nice and the patio outside the rooms are a nice treat. I visited the spa while I was there as well and received an amazing massage ! Would recommend. Traveling solo can be a little intimidating, but I really enjoyed my stay--I didn't feel as comfortable in my room with the location of it(some of the patios don't have as much privacy) and a gentleman (I believe a manager) personally walked me to different rooms that he thought I would feel more comfortable in. I also did encounter an issue during my stay, but the staff was helpful and quick to rectify the situation and I feel like that's a very important part of hospitality that sometimes can be missed. This is definitely a place that I will be coming back to !

I’m a Marriott Ambassador for the past 3 years and I hate to give a 3 star rating.. however, this resort lacks customer service and professionalism. Room not cleaned on one night of our stay. The breakfast restaurant staff is not friendly and SLOW!! The resort is in a nice location and pretty central to wineries and downtown. Can’t say we would stay here again sorry!!

I have been to a lot of hotel before. Mostly mid grade ones but a couple of nice ones. This is easily my favorite hotel I have been too. It is very nice, classy, comfortable, and relaxing. This is the hotel that comes to mind as a place I would want to visit to relax. Now.. I don’t think I would spend 500 a night on my own dime with my budget. I could justify 300-350 perhaps though. If you can spend the cash though, this one is worth it.

*Spa review only|We paid $500 for two massages. And the massages were wonderful. We felt so happy and relaxed. Then one minute before the lounge closed a lady appeared and announced “this area is closed” and turned on the bright lights. We followed her downstairs to pay (and tip). No smile, no greeting, not even a thank you. This lady does not belong in the Hospitality industry. Zero personality zero customer service skills. We won’t return.

We paid for a studio room which was shown to have balcony, and comfortable outdoor seating on the ground floor. But we were given a room on the second floor with no balcony. We’re 7.5 months pregnant. My wife did not need this.

They also atater it’s based on availability. We checked in before the rush of the weekend. So we feel very cheated on the price and promise. We also booked directly from Marriott instead of booking through other sites shopping we’d get better treatment, but no much.

Overall disappointed for the price. Having no outdoor seating as promised in studio king photos was extremely disappointing. The room was smaller than what we’d hoped to spend out babymoom on.

The room was dirts had little stains over the bed. We had a spider on the bed also that I had to kill. The shower has lots of hair all over the opening of the shower door. For this much money I would have except at least clean beds. The restaurant in the hotel area was delicious so no hate to that. Just do a book at table in advance

If six stars were possible they’d have six from me! The grounds, room, and service are spectacular! The natural beauty around the cottages at this boutique hotel is breathtaking. Spring for the fireplace and soaker tub!
And the staff are so attentive and friendly! They’ve made us feel special by celebrating our 10-year anniversary at the Lodge.
