Danehill manor is an one-of-a-kind, magical place that I cannot believe such place exists within 45 mins from SF. There is a pool, bbq, barn, highly functional tree house that can sleep guests with its own bathroom.

The tranquil environment is transformative. You cannot find such experience in a normal big brand resort. You are in the mountains but yet you are surrounded by water.

Karin and her sons are fantastic hosts who are generous enough to invite guests to the dreamland that Karin created from scratch. Her horses really add to the entire unique serene experience. From their story sharing, Karin is an inspirational person who has built her life and dreams from being a focused business woman and leader.

This place has so much potential to host beautiful but intimate events or leadership meetups. My family had an absolutely wonderful time there! I would highly recommend family gatherings and corporate events at Danehill Manor.

Danehill Manor is a wonderful and unique place unlike any other. The natural beauty that surrounds the property speaks for itself. What makes this a truly one-of-a-kind experience is the proprietor and host, Karin Dilou. Instantly I felt a connection to Karin that is hard to describe. She is a special person who left an impression that will stay with us forever. We will be coming back, and bringing our friends and family to experience this wonderful place and amazing host.

We spent an amazing 2 nights at Danehill Manor. I could not have asked for a more magical way to spend my birthday. My absolute favorite part was waking up to the herd of horses outside our window in the morning and sharing our breakfast time with them. Our recent stay at Danehill Manor Bed and Breakfast was truly delightful. The property itself was magnificent with its beautiful Spanish-style estate, stunning views of the Nicasio reservoir, and free roaming herd of horses. However, it was our host/owner of the property, Carin, who through her welcoming presence, interesting stories, horse whispering lessons, and the generous amount of time she spent with us, that made the experience unforgettable. Her passion and personality permeate every corner of the manner. Our time with the horses and dogs was heartwarming, our room spacious and comfortable, the night sky mesmerizing, and the gourmet food delicious. A stay at Danehill Manor is definitely 10 steps above your usual B&B experience.

A stay at Danehill Mannor is not about the accommodations, it is about the experience. Although you wake up to a mesmerising landscape that makes you feel in another world entirely with the sounds of birds and horses slowly chopping at their sweet morning breakfast, this is not what a stay here is about; this is about your interaction with Karin from Marin and her pack horses. Each morning you will be woken with early breakfast that she tenderly makes and quietly leaves for you to have alone in this beauty and awe of the place. Then at brunch you are feed the most amazing fluffy eggs and meal picked specifically for you, delicately thought out, and then you get lost in Karin’s stories of her amazing last and present. She wraps them all in your shared stories of life and in those of her pack of horses. In time she teaches you how to interact and how to earn love and trust of her pack of horses through these stories. It is an experience that I will treasure always. Karin and her home will be given and shared to you, just as a way of life. And as i have learned is a Danish way of living, they are the happiest people on earth, and you will take that happiness, that “hygee” feeling with you when you leave.

One of the best Airbnb experiences we have had, largely thanks to Karin for her impeccable hospitality and attention to detail to everything! Her entire property is amazingly serene and calm surrounded by lakes, horses, and beautiful landscape. If you are looking to create some unforgettable memories, look no further, this is the place!

During my two stays at Danehill, I have had the most exceptional experiences. The scenery and house are stunning, but the animals and people are truly what add to Danehill’s healing properties. I have done breathwork, somatic therapy, horsemanship and a massage.

I have done breathwork and somatic with Mark Christian. He knows what people need and understands how to best facilitate people’s journey of self discovery and healing. I wasn’t familiar with either of these before I came to Danehill. They are eye opening experiences. They are something to be done if you come to a time in your life where you want to go even deeper into learning about yourself and healing deep wounds.

I had a massage with Sondra and it was a massage on another level. Sondra's massage technique is exceptional. She listens to your body and you can tell she is truly committed to your body feeling the best it can be.

Participating in the horsemanship session with Karin is an extremely unique experience. I learned about myself and the ways I present myself to others. I love horses but this is truly a different way of interacting with them.

Karin is the person who brings this all together. She couldn’t be more thoughtful. She goes the extra mile and ensures that you are so well taken care of during your visit. Thinking of her stories makes me smile and she also has wonderful insights.
Words don’t do her justice but she is beautiful inside and out ❤️!

Daisy and Riley ( the two dogs) are just another dimension of warm welcome to the house. And the presence of the horses further adds to the serenity and beauty of the property.

Danehill is a place of healing and beauty. A must visit.
