This place was like a sweet fairytail. The location was spectacular and the rooms were tastefully decorated, immaculate, and charming; the bed was super comfy. We booked a night on new years eve, last minute. Kelly greated us, directed us to a prime parking spot and then, upgraded our room because they has vacancy. It was unexpected and so appreciated. Then she brought us wine for my boyfriends birthday, which we were also celebrating. This was one of the best NYE I have ever had. I cannot recommend this place enough and I cannot wait to go back. Thank you so much Kelly. You have a fabulous business and you are a fabulous person.

We had a wonderful time at the surf lodge! We stayed for the weekend in the smallest room of the bungalows. The room is tight but it had everything we needed. Comfy bed, nice TV (we’re big TV people so it was nice to have a decent size TV right in front of the bed) clean bathroom with a nice shower, and lots of towels.

If you plan on coming and just need a place to sleep and re-up, this is perfect. We spent all day at the beach then were able to come back, rinse off in the outdoor shower and jump on the bed and unwind.

We used the keyless entry so we never actually interacted with the staff but they were SO NICE. They noticed we had some drinks in the room so they brought us a small drink fridge with a sweet note when they turned down the room.

The place is walking distance to a handful of restaurants, a very well stocked market and the beach!

There’s a reason this place has such amazing reviews! You have your own cabin room that’s cozy and accommodating. Although the rooms aren’t the largest, the cabin is well equipped with everything you could need. I enjoyed the double password entry of the community gate and room key for ease of check in and safety. We spent the days walking the beach, eating pastries at the shop nearby, and overall enjoying a slow-paced and simple yet beautiful stay and weekend. Kelly was phenomenal! Sweet as can be and so responsive and helpful. Highly recommend Surf Lodge as your Stinson Beach stay

Booked for a 4 day mini getaway after a conference in SF. Shoulder season, mostly here to hike nearby and wander the beach — seems many guest are too. Chill vibe, everyone respectful and warm and nice. Rooms are airy and new and clean, bed good, nice each cottage has blackout and privacy blinds which was a surprise and great. In a suite with kitchenette which has all the stuff I need first a few day stay. Image the town gets a mote busy in summer but super laid back now and nice wandering the beaches in light sweater and watching the sunset. If planning to go to Muir forest make sure to get parking and park pass in advance — booked well in advance on weekends

Great location and prim and proper rooms with a nice private area past the main gate. Rooms have all the touches for an enjoyable stay parking may be tricky but everything is a walk away so parking and get your steps in.

First time traveling to Stinson Beach and would definitely stay here again when we come back. The Surf Lodge is very modern, clean, and accommodating. We received a text with the gate and door code when the room was ready and Kelly greeted us when we arrived and was very welcoming. She made sure our code worked and showed us to the room and made sure everything was in order. Even offered and delivered refreshments to us! We love everything about the room it was so nice. We booked the king room with kitchenette and it was bigger than I thought it would be. Was big enough for our child’s travel crib and still had extra space. Bathroom was also very nice and spacious. Location was great right down the street from the beach and in downtown walking distance to the restaurants and shops. Price was reasonable I thought considering location and accommodations. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Such a wonderful spot in Stinson! We recently stayed at the Lodge for two days over New Years. What a relaxing two days it was! Our room was inviting and very comfortable. We had a small kitchenette which we didn't use, but was really nice for those that may have an extended stay there. It was quiet and very Zen like. Check in and out was a breeze. And most of all the staff, Kelly, was amazing!! Highly recommend!

My amazing wife’s Napa grapevine gals spilled the beans about the coolest boutique, surf bungalows in Stinson ! Attention to detail regarding leaving your sand at the beach is unsurpassed !! Rooms feature 12 foot ceilings, walk-in double shower, luxury bedline & designed for the best beach experience in Northern Cal…. I usually don’t write reviews as a 40 year luxury hospitality executive …, SLSB , BIG shout out to the incredible staff & visionary’s for a perfect Beach day and night!
