So my sweet wife and I took a chance on this place just wanted to get away for the weekend and see crater Lake while it was sunny so glad we took a chance on this place. It was very clean. Everything was brand new one thing we noticed that the hotel room didn’t have a landline didn’t have phones, which is so nice because I unplug the phone anyway so at hotels I don’t get shocked early in the morning with a wrong phone call But the lamps they were touched like you had to touch them to activate them. It took a little while for the room to warm up because it just had a little heater but to the back of the room you could see the forest which was so nice and I was a little afraid to come here because of the highway noise, but that was no big deal because we left the heater going and that drowned out the noise and it was super quiet at night. Didn’t hear too much traffic. It was kind of funny we had to check in at the gas station. That’s the hotel check-in a word of advice about staying here. Make sure you bring something to eat cause there’s really nothing to eat within 30 miles but we would definitely come back here again. The price was very reasonable And we felt like we were away from town which was so good and it’s really not that far from crater Lake the GPS said it’s an hour but only took us 30 minutes to get to the Southgate but if if you’re wondering about staying at this place on the fence, you’re from out of town like we were as a out of town person to somebody esle I would definitely give this place to try. It’s really really nice and if you’re trying to save money, this is a great option without compromising, safety or quality.

I rarely review businesses outside my home area but this place NEEDS some stars. Do yourself a HUGE favor and just skip the chain hotels in Klamath not to mention the weirdos and go STRAIGHT to this place! I've NEVER stayed at a cleaner or better-smelling room! Everything in the room was New and in excellent shape. The sheets smelled so good I wish i knew what soap they use. Seriously I'd have my grandma stay at this place I liked it so much! Only thing you should know is that the hotel is off a trucking route and you can hear the rigs from the room, nothing a set of ear plugs won't solve. The other thing is that even though there is a mini market/ gas station at the premises there is nothing else around so fill your needs and eats before you head out there.

Couldn't have picked a better hotel in the area. The rooms were SO cute, and incredibly comfy-as well as spotless. My mom and I got in pretty late, around 23:30, but the ring camera check in process was pretty easy. We felt bad to have maybe woken others up though, as it was loud when we talked back and forth to get check in info. The convenience store/gas station attendant was super nice, and we got a little coffee before hitting the road to check out Crater Lake. It was a gorgeous drive there, and not too far away. Last of all, my kitty loved sittinf in the window, and we were so grateful to have found a place where he was allowed.

I had a fantastic experience during my stay. We booked a room at the last minute, which was a bit pricey at $150 per night. However, the room was modern and spotless. The hotel has its own convenience store where you can buy liquor and other necessities, and there's a gas station right in front of the hotel. They also offer propane refills. This hotel is a great place to stay if you want to explore Crater Lake and Klamath Falls, as it’s conveniently located between the two. I will definitely stay here again on my next road trip.

I have worked for the owner for three years. Crater Lake Gateway has received many favorable reviews, mostly related to the efforts of the dedicated staff. In July a guest contacted the hotel about a billing that appeared on his credit card statement. Guest told me he had booked a reservation through the website for July 2-5. When he attempted to make fhe payment, the bookng system auto-replied no rooms were available. Without receiving confirmation, he believed that no reservation had booked.

I processed a refund for the gentleman. Here we are at the end of October. The owner told me I should not have refunded the payment. She said the guest lied, then wiithheld $477 from my paycheck until I get payment from the guest. I do not believe everyone lies to get out of paying for something. I only call someone a liar when deserved, not assumed.

I was a bit nervous when I pulled in due to how remote this place is, but the staff quickly put me at ease. They were very nice and quick to respond when we had a slight issue late at night. The view and surroundings are absolutely stunning! We went on a shoulder season, so hardly any restaurants were open during the week unless you drove into Kalamath Fall proper, which was about 30 minutes away. They do have a little grocery store and gas station that’s part of the motel so that’s helpful.

It's located in the middle of nowhere but on the way to Crater Lske. We only stayed overnight but wish we could have stayed longer. Our room was lovely and had a private balcony.
The front desk person opened up the room for us and turned on the heat to prepare for our late arrival. The shop next store had a ton of cool things plus postcards and food. Thank you for a restful night.

Although the stay was brief, the room and support service were absolutely impeccable. I was on a quick trip and was able to book easily the same day and was actually running late into the evening. A call to the desk assured my room would be open on late arrival. The room was spotless and bathroom welcoming and ultra modern. Best value for any nice stay in Southern Oregon!
