Update: I went back for another chicken fried steak special and was very disappointed. I did order to go, but the breading was soggy and not attached to the steak. I also did not receive my biscuit for the bread part of the meal.

We just tried this restaurant for the first time because I was in the mood for chicken fried steak. The restaurant was a little small but there were plenty of tables when we arrived. Both servers were great, even though it did get busier after we got there. The chicken fried steak was a special today and I enjoyed it. The breading did come off easily but was nice and crunchy. The gravy was thicker than I prefer but was good with lots of sausage. The biscuit was small and slightly dry but not bad. The country potatoes were good but not as crispy as I prefer. We also got a cinnamon roll, lemon bar, and a cookie to go. The lemon bar is great and so was the cookie. We haven’t had the cinnamon roll yet but it looks good.

Have tried Black Sheep once during the pandemic but had not had the chance to try them since. Today was the day!

We ordered the special which was a Foghorn Breakfast Burrito and then a 3 Tenors Sandwich. Total wait time for food was about 15 minutes which was reasonable given how busy they were inside - 11:20AM and all seats were taken. This didn't stop them from providing great service, checking up on us and light socializing in-between.

Presentation wise, food looked appetizing, smelled great and was a very nice portion to cost. While the burrito was great, the star was the sandwich! Hands down one of the best built sandwiches we've ever had! Not only was it built well (the cross-section was perfect), but the hoagie held the sandwich from start to finish with no leakage at all.

All in all - highly recommend Black Sheep. They have a little bit of everything on their menu for everyone - definitely give them a try if you want a great food experience!

My mom referred me to this place and I personally have had a great experience with their Salmon Salad, looking forward to exploring the menu more. Great atmosphere, noticed they had a bar also and made a mental note as it seems like a great place to take the Wife out for a date. Thank you all at Black Sheep for making me part of the herd. The steak and eggs were perfect and perfectly seasoned. Steak exactly medium rare and eggs exactly over medium. Drinks are wonderful. I wanted a lavender London Fog, and they created it for me even though it wasn't on the menu and didn't know what it was. Fantastic service, food, prices, and people.
I have also had the grilled salmon salad and loved it! Nice big piece of perfectly cooked salmon.

Updated 3/12/24 to say that we did return about 2 weeks later for another visit and were not let down in the least! The food is still incredible (I had the greek style salad 🤤, hubs had steak and eggs with hashbrowns, he likes his steak rarer and eggs over easy and they did it perfectly!). The atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable, the drink I enjoyed was awesome (sex on the beach). This will definitely be a routine space for us to enjoy dates with eachother! Family friendly as well, we just enjoy our one on one time 😁

My husband and I were looking for a great spot to have a breakfast date, we wound up choosing the Black Sheep Cafe and we WILL be coming back! The food was incredible, the staff was upbeat and very attentive, and the atmosphere here is relaxed, we loved everything about it & can't wait to make this a staple in our routine morning dates! (My husband got the ribs, I got the reuben & we shared a chicken taco salad... all were delicious!)

The unassuming front of this restaurant hides a truely wonderful experience. They have decided to keep the tables fairly far apart instead of packing more tables closer together. Though this limits their seating it vastly improves their ability to give full attention to each guest. This also makes it so that your food will come out fairly quick as the kitchen is not backed up with orders.

They have a full bar for those that enjoy a cocktail for breakfast or lunch. (No judgements here, Bloody Mary weekends are wonderful.)

The food is quite good and they are dedicated to keeping good standard fair on the menu and making some exceptional specials to keep it fresh.
