Came here on one of our birthdays for dinner. We made reservations and got there early and were seated right away. The menu is very limited but food looked good on their web site so, we were excited to try the food. There are a handful of Thai restaurants in the Bend area and this, by far is the most fancy looking spot we have visited.
The food came out fairly quickly but the price is a little steep for the portions they served. One of us ordered a noodle dish which ended up way too spicy for even someone who eats bird peppers and jalapeno peppers on a regular basis. They may want to keep it authentic but that does not mean that the level of spicy should be at the level they had it at. It took away the flavors of the dish.
We did order several dishes to try and I would say, the food is good but not great. Would I go back? I may give it a second chance as long as the portions remain reasonable for the price they are charging per entree.

Why five? They truly deserve them. Incredible food, (almost not from this earth) friendly friendly service (owner and staff) and an atmosphere that makes you feel separated from the outside world. Oh, and we need not forget because we assess restrooms, nice, clean and single privacy use. Ask about their award-winning soup from the 2025 Souper Bowl! (Again, other worldly!)

We cannot recommend this place enough!!!!!! Everything was bursting with flavor. The service was amazing and friendly. Our waiter informed us their cooks are from Thailand and help bring authentic dishes that might be hard to find elsewhere. We got the garlic shrimp and Gang Hang Lay Pork Ribs. We cannot wait to come back!

We went there on Valentine's Day. It was really packed and we didn't have a reservation but they were very welcoming and got us a table. The green curry with a side of Mom's Fried Chicken was amazing. Very flavorful and delicious. My biggest impression was how kind the staff were. Everyone spoke with us and assisted us and smiled. Not just our waiter. I will definitely return.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dear Mom Cafe, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best food experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment I stepped inside, the cozy, welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home.

Now, let's talk about the food – WOW! The Grandma Pad Thai was absolutely incredible. The balance of flavors was perfect—tangy, sweet, and savory all in one bite. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the combination of fresh ingredients was spot-on. I could really taste the love and care that went into it, and it’s clear why it’s a signature dish!

And don't even get me started on the Sweet Mango Sticky Rice. It was the perfect end to the meal. The sticky rice was so soft and fragrant, and paired with the ripe, juicy mango, it was an absolute dream. Every bite was a little piece of heaven.

Overall, Dear Mom Cafe offers a delightful, authentic experience that’s not to be missed. If you’re looking for a warm, flavorful meal with dishes that are prepared to perfection, this is the place to be. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Too lazy to cook while traveling to my precious homeyown, Bend. Was one of the few places we could pick up food, and they were so busy, but we're nice as could be. Delicious soup and salad. Wasn't super impressed with the mango sticky rice, but I know they can be tricky with takeout. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and we're happy they provided us food! The way they packaged the Khao Soi was strategic and impressive.

We came for Christmas Day and it was incredibly busy, but the staff handled the crowd well. We were at 5 minutes before our reservation. The servers were so sweet and always had a smile on. The Tom Kha (coconut soup) reminded me of being in Thailand - it tasted fresh and flavorful. We also got crab fried rice and shrimp drunken noodles, we had to take half of each to go. This was our first time here and we absolutely loved it! We will be back.
