I had the sourdough toasted bacon Blackberry Bacon Swiss jalapeño Sandwich and it was good. Tater tots were nicely cooked, crunchy, but bland. Husband had the Eggs Benedict and will not be ordering that again. It was a nice place with a nice atmosphere and the servers were friendly and smiling.

We visited the Redwood NPS, was looking for a good breakfast spot around the area, and came across this place. The food was good, comforting. It was also the first time I tried crepes, and it did not disappoint. 😊

It’s a perfect place for a Sunday brunch date! Portion size was huge and the french toast was fluffy and delicious. Service was great and the ladies were very kind.

Checked the reviews for breakfast places while staying in Crescent City and as we were headed north we decided on Mattie's instead of Crescent City due to the reviews and they were not wrong! Fantastic birthday breakfast, we were greeted on entry and brought to a table the last in the restaurant which was packed with locals and tourists alike. Definitely the favorite spot to eat!
I had the Tomato and Spinach Eggs Benedict which was delicious and they actually made my hash browns crispy as requested! My daughter had the French Toast which was a large portion and she inhaled it. Our food came quickly and was hot, fresh and absolutely delicious and bonus great value for money. Service was great and all the staff was working very diligently. I loved the bathroom signage, well done having gender neutral bathrooms!

My family and I were staying in Brookings for a few days. We were a group adults plus a toddler. The atmosphere when you walk in was a little uncomfortable due to the locals giving unwelcoming looks and gestures. However once the staff greeted us and sat us, they made sure to make up for any of that. The servers were are very attentive and friendly. They gave my toddler a couple little cars for him to play with. They were prompt to offer drinks and take our order. I got a cheese burger with onion rings which I loved! Others got a veggie omelet, bowl of chili, cheeseburger, stack of pancakes, corn dog with fried and swedish crepes. Everything aside from the crepes was a big hit. The crepes, were not bad, however they were very plain. I would definitely return. Again, the service was wonderful!

I had the crab omelette and it was the best omelette I’ve ever had. It had SO MUCH crab and the hollandaise sauce was excellent and buttery, I unfortunately didn’t take a picture of my food but my husband also really enjoyed the double bacon cheeseburger. A warning for picky kids- the happy face pancake has chocolate under the pancake, it was good but it wasn’t listed on the menu and my picky child didn’t like that surprise.

Driving down nostalgia lane of a diner experience, right by the side of US highway 101. They got a burger, omelette, and a crepe right, at the same time. Add in good service, decent coffe, and a great atmosphere. You have a winner of a breakfast place in Brookings. This will not be my last time visiting this place.
