Five stars is not enough for Black Trumpet Bistro. I would give them a 10 star if it was available. This place is amazing. Ate here twice and both times I was extremely satisfied and impressed. The food is so very very delicious. I have never had better Lasagna in my entire life. The service and staff were absolutely fantastic. Friendly and knowledgeable. Made me feel welcome and appreciated. They made sure my experience was top notch and I left completely satisfied. I would recommend making a reservation due to the limited seating but you will not be disappointed.

We went in for our anniversary dinner and ordered off the early dinner menu, which has smaller portions but less expensive. The food was wonderful, taste and presentation! The portions were still plentiful. The restaurant atmosphere could use an update.

Honestly, some of the best food I’ve had in a while!

The focaccia was quite good, the house salad dressing was the best dressing I have had in ages, and the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken was prepared expertly. Would highly recommend this place to anyone!

I had a very pleasant experience here! We stopped in with a bigger group and no reservation and within 10 minutes they had tables put together for us. We were paired up with an incredibly friendly server. Ordered cocktails off their specialty menu and they didn't disappoint. The food was excellent and came out fairly quickly for how big our group was. We didn't have any complaints, everything was great. I really liked the mushroom art on the wall and the whole atmosphere of the place.

Me & my husband came here both nights while on our honeymoon and everything was perfect, we wanted to specifically thank our waitress Jenny she took care of us throughout dinner and her hospitality is true, genuine, and just a wonderful experience 💕💕 this beautiful bistro feels like something out of a small town hallmark movie 🎥 the Caesar salad, the steak and mashed potatoes is perfect 🤩

Through the double doors on the right, you'll find a unique place to enjoy great food and good company. The pork belly was tender and flavorful. STEAK!! The ribeye was cooked to a perfect medium rare. It was tender and so juicy. The prices were spendy. However, I have zero buyers remorse. The one complaint I have would be is that the temperature was a bit stuffy. I will be coming back.

We visit Brookings about twice a year and this was our first time here. Wasn’t what I expected as far as location but the service and food were phenomenal! We had the Mushroom and thyme soup, steamer clams, meatball appetizer, pork belly appetizer, chicken Marsala, cioppiono, and lasagna. (We like to try as much as possible 😂) They had an early bird dinner menu with some cheaper options from 3-5. Server was amazing and he gave us suggestions and spaced out the food perfectly. Will definitely return.

The best part about my experience at this restaurant was my server, Jennie. She is new to the area, but so kind and sweet, and really made my experience one to remember. Excellent customer service skills, always on top of everything including drink refills, and was so personable. We left her a huge tip, and I recommend you do so too, she deserves it for being such a hard worker! The food was also incredible. I got the chicken fettuccine Alfredo, very rich and has a great made from scratch taste ! I really enjoyed the dish and the restaurant in general ! Would recommend and I would definitely come back again ! I included photos of my food and the menu !
