We were just passing through on our way back to GA, and we needed a pick me up. I am so glad we opted to pass Starbucks on the interstate and try a local small business instead. My family and I were a little too excited about visiting this shop. We had a 32oz caramel iced coffee with expresso, a 24 oz caramel iced coffee with expresso, a 24 oz caramel frappe, 3 chocolate chip cookies and a brownie for $29. I think that was extremely reasonable!! Our next trip to Mississippi, we will definitely be stopping through the urban monkey coffee shop in AL.

They can do all sorts of flavors and that's why I like most about them and you can actually taste the flavors and it's not too much. I love getting banana added It makes it so freaking good. I hope this coffee shop sticks around because it's right down the road from my home and they are always so polite. Please show love to small businesses and go by and try this place you will not regret it. Even though I make a complicated order he is always asking if I need anything else and nothing is too complex for them.

My new pick for worlds best cappuccino. This place is a must visit especially if you are at Tannehill State Park. Its only a few miles from the park. They have some pastries and fantastic cheesecake. You might even hear some live music.

I am a coffee fanatic. Being from Washington State coffee is a way of life for us. I like visiting and trying out local places over a commercial coffee brand.

The owner was super personable and served up a delicious iced salted caramel latte. I think I will make it in again before my trip is over, and I would recommend it to any of the locals!

Great atmosphere, bad service, absolutely terrible coffee. I ordered a warm plain latte and it tasted like I was drinking lemon water it was so bitter. I don’t know if the barista didn’t like me and threw a lot of something strange into my drink, or if she just had no clue what she was doing. But regardless her attitude was unsettling enough to make me ask questions about why my latte tasted SO OFF. I drink coffee everyday so I’m very aware. Disappointed and I won’t be back.

This is a great place to grab a coffee and sit a minute or on your way to work. Service is great. They have muffins, danishes and a cheese cake that will make you say Mmmmm! that's good.

This is a great local coffee shop to check out between Tuscaloosa and Hoover. The customer service is unmatched by any of the big chain coffee shops. If you are in the McCalla or West Blocton area or passing through you should definitely check it out!
