Extremely disappointed and saddened to say that we will never stay at this lodge again. Was hoping for a quiet and relaxing weekend.| We booked a Lakeside king room 2 1/2 weeks in advance to find that our original room was on the 1st floor right by the front desk. walked in, and trees are blocking the lake view. Went to front desk and requested to be moved to 2nd floor but only thing available was pool side So we took it. There was a large Middle Eastern church group staying there. Kids constantly running the halls and being extremely loud! Complained numerous times! Also, Kids and Adults playing and being extremely loud in the courtyard by the pool. Was told that the lodge follows the park rules that quiet time starts at 11:00 pm. until daylight. Kids still running the halls after quiet time. | The Restaurant has become a joke. Very limited Menu. They had one waitress running the whole dining room. We really felt sorry for her as she was so overwhelmed. She was to the point of losing it (in tears). My wife went and asked the front desk staff if anyone could help her. One lady did so for a short time. When we finally got our order (delivered from the cook), The eggs were burnt crunchy, Potatoes and bacon were cold. 10 minutes later had to ask dish washer for syrup and butter for pancakes. | We were told by the front desk that the Lookout restaurant is not owned by the lodge. None the less if this is the kind of service they provide, then it affects the hotel. It is sad that this is what this Lodge has become. I will Never book here again. Only the separate cabins for privacy and quiet.

I stayed here. I was afraid to eat at the restaurant based on some reviews I had read, but they must have different cooks now. We ate there maybe 4-5 times. The food was always great, the server was super duper nice. At times, it could be a little slow, but we were there to relax, so we played card games and waited. No problem. The lodge is very nice. No microwave in the room. It was down the hall. That didn't bother me, though. There aren't other places to eat in the park, but there are in town. If you leave the park and go left, there is fast food, sit down restaurants and a walmart a few miles down the road. The nature center was only ok, but the marina was nice. The rental pontoons were really nice. Might come back and use next time. There's a pool, splash pad, game room with a pool table, tennis, horseshoes, volleyball, and hiking at the lodge. It has a very nice golf course, too. The area is beautiful. Very beautiful. Lots of lovely walking trails. I didn't like the small cottages. The walls are paper thin and the beds are a little rickety, but it is cheaper than the lodge rooms. We chose to move into the lodge. The lake house is very nice. We looked at it for a possible 2nd trip with family. Large full kitchen, large living room, 3 bedrooms, 2 of them with 2 queen beds, one with a king and a pull out sofa, and a cot in the laundry room. Large balcony. None of the rooms with kitchenettes have dishes. They have several meeting rooms of various size. One can hold 300-400 people I would guess. I would absolutely stay here again, and am looking forward to it. We had a women's conference here. They catered it, but I didn't use the catering. It was a lovely place for a group trip with so much to do.

The lodge should not be a 1 star hotel. I’ve stayed at many hotels and this place was very nice and clean. This lodge was a minimum 3 star hotel. I really enjoyed this place. I gave it 3 star for service because housekeeping never came to clean my room in the 2 nights I stayed there.

I meant to write this review months ago, but never got around to it. It was my 40th birthday in August of last year and I live out of town, but my family still resides in Oklahoma. It was a special weekend to do something different and have some lake and nature time. My family and I had recently been adjusting to my mom having a stroke and being handicapped from it, needing a wheel chair. When my sweet brother had made the reservation, it was honestly forgotten to ask for a wheelchair accessible room. We originally had a regular cabin for my mom and dad and we tried to make it work the first night. Finally, my sister thought it may be a good idea to kindly ask the front desk if we could change rooms for my mom. With out hesitation they said yes, and gave us a room closer to the amenities to make it easier for her to get around and it made such a huge difference for the special weekend. I am so grateful for the trip and Oklahoma hospitality. Thanks-a-million!

Awesome place to stay! The State park is beautiful. Deer, raccoons, fireflies (first time I've ever see them!), possums, great 9-hole golf course that was not busy when I went (NOT peak season) that I could hack my way using the WHOLE course :), staff at the Lodge were super helpful and I loved the "retro decor. Not "retro" to me...just perfect though for the setting the Lodge sits in.

Go there if you enjoy nature and just a cool place.

Just spent the weekend at The Lodge. This resort is really spectacular. Amazing views & The Lodge really took care of us. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The A/C was ice cold!! The deck overlooked the lake from above with amazing sunset views. We really enjoyed our time on the lake and the resort’s pool was perfect for little kids and the adults. One thing about the pool is bring your own towel. Had a couple of meals at the resort, the food was really good and the service was excellent. We had a large group, and they took great care of us.

Honestly, I was taken away by the views from the resort and off of our deck. I would recommend The Lodge to everyone and plan to come back soon!
