I booked this hotel last minute due to the fact that the IHG hotel I had originally booked closed down with no notice to me. I'm glad I logged in before my arrival date or I would have shown up to the original hotel and had no place to stay.

This location was farther away from where we would have liked to stay.

I would like to start with the pros of this hotel. It was exceptionally clean for which we were very appreciative. The staff we encountered were all pleasant.

Now for the cons. Our first disappoinment was the fact that the pool was outdoor and not accesible due to it being winter. Secondly our room had no bathtub, shower only and we were travelling with a child which made bathing a bit of a challenge. The temperature in our room was impossible to manage. We were either sweltering or cold. The bed was decent the pillows, however, were awful. The paperthin walls allowed us to hear every word spoken in the rooms next to us, in the hallway and outside our window. The lights in the parking lot were so extremely bright and unable to be blocked out by the curtains making it look like daytime in our room even at midnight. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. Our first morning there had subpar food and none of the touted cinnamon rolls were available (it was 8:30, breakfast was 'served' until 10:00). We saw no one running the kitchen. When we asked the front desk, we were provided with a cold, hard cinnamon roll. The second morning, there was a boys basketball team eating breakfast with us and several other families. All of the omelets and biscuits for biscuits and gravy and the pancake mix and cinnamon rolls were all gone (it was 9:00 with breakfast available until 10). There were staff running the kitchen whom we asked for more food. After about 20 minutes, more biscuits, pancake mix and omelets were available along with apologies, but this was frustrating. I'm glad we weren't in a hurry. Once again hard, cold cinnamons were produced. One of the reasons we stay at Holiday Inn Expresses is for the free breakfast. We are usually able to get a decent meal, but not so much at this location.

We will not stay here again.

We had a great stay! Our room was exceptionally clean, quiet with plenty of space to relax. We also enjoyed the location that offered plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The bed was comfy and A/C was very quiet providing a great night’s sleep. We would stay again!

So, the overnight front desk woman at the Owasso, OK Holiday Inn has some bad personal problems. I checked in at 12:11 AM. I got into my bed around 12:30 AM. She keeps me up until 1:00 AM because she is arguing with someone on her cell phone outside the front door of the hotel, about 40 feet and 2 floors away from my room. She is unhinged and yells 100% of the time.

Then, I wake up at 3:45 AM to her going at it again. I had had enough, so I start calling the Front Desk. She let it ring until it hung up on me. I kept calling. On the third or fourth round of ringing, she ended her phone call outside and answered my phone call inside.

Front Desk: Hello, front desk.

Sleepy Guest: Would you please shut up?!

Front Desk:

Oh, so sorry, some loud folks came through the lobby --Sleepy Guest: No! It is you! If you insist on arguing on the phone outside all night, get further away from the building.

She said she was sorry and we ended the conversation politely enough.

It took me a while to get back to sleep, but I managed to, before I had to get up at 6:30 AM to get to work.

This front desk person has some serious problems going on and comes off like a bit of a drug addict. You all might want to check into things with her. She might need some support.

I came back to the hotel the next day to let someone know about my experience. I was given 1000 Reward Points. Seems a bit low for the nightmare I went through, but I guess it is what it is.

Thanks. I like IHG overall, but person is a menace.

The fact that I looked at my options of places for us to stay and chose this one was a great decision. The room was very clean and fresh. The bed was so very comfortable. We slept very, very well. The room amenities served us well. And the breakfast was great! A lot of options were available. The cinnamon rolls we had were absolutely delicious. We highly recommend this Holiday Inn Express!

The front desk staff were very helpful. Check in was very easy. The room was clean and very comfortable. Unfortunately, my checkout time was very early therefore I wasn't able to try the breakfast. Overall, it is a great place to stay, affordable, and I will recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Great hotel: bed was very comfortable. Check in was very easy and check out was a breeze. Bathroom is very clean and well stocked. I would recommend this location to anyone who needs a clean hotel room for business or leisure

Our time there was restful, comfortable and very engaging. The staff were very helpful, polite and engaging. The team at this hotel are a great aspect of this place. As we were leaving there was a birthday celebration and we were given pieces of the birthday cake - once again made to feel as if we mattered. Thank you so much.
