By far one of the best places we've visited in a long time, and that's saying something because we stayed at a 5 star resort just last summer. The staff was like family. Very friendly and informative. They tried their best to accommodate us with the right size cottage for the 4 of us and even offered to upscale us if needed at little to no extra cost, but we ended up loving the one we booked so much we stayed there instead. The coffee pot didn't work, but that's no problem, because everything else was so good, we totally forgot about it. There were activities for all ages and during the summer months there is a wonderful water park right in the center of the park. Getting around and locating your cabin may be a bit tricky. Just Google a map for the place and a good one will be available for download for free. I highly recommend this place for all style of campers, just be aware that getting around with a rig larger that 40 foot, may seem challenging at best, but with extreme caution it can be done. There are people everywhere in golf carts that are available for rent at a decent price daily, so be situation aware at all times.

We loved our stay at Chestnut Bay! The house (The Splash Pad) was perfect for us, and my daughter loved the pools. Everything was nice and clean and comfortable. Leti, the office manager, was so sweet and went out of her way to make sure our stay was a good experience! The water park was fun, too. Overall, our experience was a 10 out of 10. We will definitely be returning for future vacations!

Chesnut Bay is an amazing little escape! We had a short weekend visit for a wedding but want to come back to enjoy everything the resort had to offer! Unit 45 The Maine House was perfect! 6 bedrooms, 2 living/hangout spaces, large open kitchen, several bathrooms, and incredible lake views. Self checkin and checkout was simple and smooth.

First time camping here and enjoyed our stay! We stayed in the 700 area of the campground which is not as tight as other loops. Nice bathhouse with individual locking rooms. There is also a newly opened pool that is not on the map at the top of the 700 loop- added a photo of the sunset here! Some of the other loops like the 200 are more popular but you are very close to neighbors. Depends on what you are looking for. Everything is closer together than it looks on the map. We didn’t book a golf cart at booking and weren’t able to our whole stay bc they were sold out. Next time we will get one. The water park could use some updating and more lifeguards who actually monitor how many kids go down slides- several dangerous pile ups that I saw. The whole blue shirt staff on the RV side was very nice! The guys working the activity center were super patient with my kiddo as she asked for a million things. The activities on Sunday weren’t as popular and some cancelled. There weren’t any trikes on the lake side and only 3 kayaks for free use. The boat rentals are super pricey but we got a duck shaped paddle boat and had a great time for $30. We will make plans to come back next summer.

We absolutely love coming here! This is our go to camp ground especially in October. They have so many fun activities for the kids to do such as trick or treating, haunted trails, ceramic painting and so much more! Not to mention the water park in the summer is amazing!

We came the weekend of the 4th of July to celebrate our girl’s birthday. It was the best decision!!! We had the best time. The staff were amazing. The park was super clean. There was an event every 30 min to a hour for the kids planned in the campground. The water park was amazing! We spent a full day there. It is so large that renting a golf cart is a must. I would suggest renting it when you book your stay. They sell out quickly. If you can’t, there are staff members riding around in carts to take you where you need to go. We camp a lot as a family. This is the top of our favorite.

Stayed for the first time this weekend and loved it! Sites are close but it was fine for us as we traveled with friends who were on both sides. Staff was super friendly! We didn’t have a kid with us but tons of activities for the kids to do and it was fun to watch the parade each night! The only complaint would be no shade but the trees need time to grow!!

The house was great and in a central location!! We love Chesnut Bay. This was our 4th summer to come. However, all of the activities were canceled while we were there. It was very disappointing. Our kids looked forward to the hayride, foam party, pool myself and crafts. The resort was very short staffed, the service was not as good as it has been in years past. But the home was great and we still had a good vacation!
