My family and I love this restaurant. The staff is always very friendly and the food is delicious. I've never had anything from here that I didn't like. My favorite thing to get is the Richie's grilled chicken dinner. I love how they have this place decorated. It's super cute. 10/10 recommend!

On road trips, when possible I try not to eat at chains/drive-throughs/common places. I started Googling along my route and found this place.

The location is just on the access road of the highway and really stands out from anything along this lengthy stretch. The signage is huge and really hard to miss. Adding to that is the pink Cadillac out front by the restaurant signs.

The inside is quintessential diner, decorated everywhere with throwback art, decorations, posters, models, and the like. Even the bathroom is uniquely adorned with murals on enclosures, etc. I never photograph bathrooms but I had to snap a shot of the murals in the unoccupied men’s room b/c they are so unique.

There are multiple rooms, as well as a covered patio out back.

We ordered the #1 and the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs.

The Chicken Fried Steak and eggs with potatoes:
Wow, I was impressed as soon as I saw this dish show up. The first thing I tried was the potatoes, and they had a delicious crunch and were soft in the middle. Spot-on cooking here! Thoroughly enjoyable. The eggs and toast were on point, but what stole the show here was the Chicken Fried Steak. It’s actually two steaks and I got the default cream gravy. The portion was very large, the steaks were actually quite thick (which is very nice), and the breading was well seasoned, thick, and stuck pretty well. I had no intention of downing the whole thing, but I couldn’t stop…

The #1 is a straight forward, simple combo of one egg, two slices of bacon (or one sausage patty) served with home style potatoes, and toast or biscuit and gravy. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious as well!

As far as the experience, this is so quite obviously a local favorite and for good reasons.

The real treat here was when the check arrived. All of that food and two bottomless sodas, came out to $22 plus tax/tip. Tremendous value!

Our server as Misty and she was attentive and helpful.

I will find it hard to just drive by this place each time I make this trip and not stop every time.

Good food, good service. Easy to get to even with 69s construction. Parking is easy and marked well. Sidewalks are ramped. If you're having a hard time walking or rolling park on the north side, closer to the door and more level. Old-time small town diner feel with extra seating and a little corner bar. The bar wasn't open. Music and decorations of the Happy Days era. Our hostess and server were good and seemed to hustle doing their rounds.

Found this place driving through McAllister, OK. The staff were super friendly, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was so so cool! Even though it’s 5 hours from home, we are already planning a trip back through the town just to go here again! I had the mushroom cheese covered chicken with veggies and okra as a side- delicious! My kids had grilled chicken and a burger and my husband had a heaping pile of pulled pork. We got a slice of pie and ice cream for dessert. We all left stuffed and very happy!

I love my 50s Diners and this one easily shot itself into the top 5 not only with the oldies music but the atmosphere WILL grab you. The decorations will catch your eye, maybe even give you a giggle. The Staff were incredibly friendly, even homey; as a man who is dark of skin this made my experience wholly enjoyable allowing me to relax and enjoy my meal. The food is accurate to the theme, burgers, steaks, OKRA!!! So if you love that all American taste, you’re gonna have a good time. The food was good, lightly seasoned but cooked so as to lock in individual flavors which is a huge sign that the cooks are well trained. Fair warning, the mannequins are so well done that jump scares are possible.

Came in from a long drive from Austin Texas for a quick breakfast at the infamous Angel’s Diner!

I ordered grits French toast and home fries.

It was pretty basic as they serve a lot of fried and meaty foods.

The French toast was a bit dry.

The grits were great!

The home fries were perfectly crunchy, also a local patron had me try the fried onion rings and those are amazing!!!

My waitress was amazing she had one of the most unique names I’ve ever encountered!!! She was definitely a light of sunshine in a not so friendly area of Oklahoma.
I will say it’s not the friendliest of areas for anyone in the LGBTQIA+ community.

I received a lot of odd looks and one patron told me that I’m not in the right area and to be careful. Just based on my long hair tattoos and attire.

If you’re looking for somewhere that is LGBTQIA+ friendly food for safety this is not the area because you will be looked at and possibly spoken too.

Safety first family!

From the traveling truck show!!

The diner is amazing, the people are trying hard, the cook needs some time, but the food is straight off the imperial truck. Come get a drink, take some pictures of the amazing statues and memorabilia but don't bother with the food. I really wanted to like this place but it fell short where it mattered most. Maybe it's more of a lunch and dinner place than a breakfast joint?
