Very impressed with the “Barn” rental. It was perfect for a family trip to find show cattle items. The barn was fully stocked with everything you could need to make your stay cozy and comfy. The large front porch was my favorite ❤️ the view from the kitchen sink was incredible. Will definitely be returning.

Very clean!!!! For an older house that was restored almost 30 years ago, it still looks so fresh. One can tell that a lot of time and effort is put into the customer experience. This is our third time staying at the Grape Vine House, each time our group has occupied all of the rooms. One suggestion would be to maybe post some information or reminders about the "shared kitchen." In this age of Air BnB, and especially if you have the whole house, having strangers (from the other section of the house) walk in to grab a donut is a bit of a surprise! We had a great visit, and it makes a great home base for Amish Country!

Even though we live close enough to Holmes County for day trips. my husband and I returned to the Grapevine House to celebrate our 26th anniversary. This was our second stay there (the first was in 2015) and we even got the same room -the Delaware in Erma's House. Laura checked us in and was very helpful, even after we accidentally locked ourselves out of the room in our first hour!||We knew going in that breakfast was very simple, but it was fine with us. We don't generally like large breakfasts and there is a lovely café across the street that was perfect on the day we wanted more than coffee and some oatmeal.||The bed was comfortable and the quilt was especially appreciated given that on our first night the outside temperature was a chilly 50 (in June!). There were extra pillows as well that made it very easy to get comfortable watching TV once we settled in for the night.||There is no bathtub in the room, but the shower is a large single with shelves for toiletries. It was spotlessly clean, and the towels were fluffy and soft. There are also toiletries and a hair dryer provided.||The best part of the place is still the back porch with its view of the lovely gardens. It is accessible through the parlor at Erma's House and from the main building. The Delaware room also has its own entrance from the street, but there is surprisingly little street noise to bother you in the room.||When it came time to check out, we had a lovely chat with Saren, who shared stories about life in Amish country. She obviously enjoys working with the public and takes great pride in the Grapevine House.||I highly recommend the Grapevine House as a great place to stay!

Great place at a great price and location! The staff were very friendly and we felt at home there. I recommend getting a room on the backside of the house. The house is very close to the road so the two front bed rooms (one with two beds and one with one bed) as the traffic from the road is very loud at night. There is no real breakfast. There are pastries, fruit and oatmeal. But there is a cute coffee shop across the road. We also sat on the covered back porch with our Amish cheese and goodies in the evening and watched an Amish family play and work in the distance. The backyard garden is beautiful. For the price, you can't beat it.

Stayed while visiting Amish Country with a couple of friends. The property is lovely, nicely decorated rooms. Typical squeaky floorboards and narrow staircases of an old house, charming. Good value for the area especially if 2 ladies share a room with 2 beds. Private bathrooms, nice and clean. A good location for exploring the area. We enjoyed our stay. Wifi and TV are nice amenities.||Research various rooms before choosing. Front rooms in main house have a lot of light and noise from surprisingly busy street. Owner/staff is not on site 24/7 so I'd be unlikely to stay here on my own as I have done elsewhere. Breakfast is do it yourself continental. I was advised of this upon booking so don't consider it to be an issue. ||Website booking has a few glitches so I suggest calling to be sure of options, payment and cancellation policy.

The Grapevine House Bed and Breakfast was the perfect place to stay in Winesburg to visit our relatives and the Amish communities in Holmes and Wayne County. Amazing location and ambiance, right in the heart of town. The house and the rooms are adorable, the beds were comfortable. we stayed in the Beta's room. Rochelle the Hostess was great and very helpful and friendly. I would recommend staying here and I would definitely stay here again.

Stopped into their gift shop to purchase stained glass window hangers. I was able to find 2 I liked. The young lady who checked us out recommended a business selling handmade natural creams, soaps and baby products.

We stayed in The Barn with another couple. It was a perfect place with lots of space to chat and play cards. The rooms were very clean and tidy, even made up during our stay. A request for tea brought tea bags and china teacups. This was our second visit and we would stay here again
