Extremely nice staff. We called to let them know we would be checking in kinda late, and the guy on staff was very chill and I ended up needing some things after we arrived and he was like competing with me to be the most polite. He actually won. I'm like a politeness king and he's like the politeness guru. Very positive experience. Five stars earned! Very smooth experience. I wish passing through Youngstown wasn't a random experience. If we are here again, I'll try to stay here, no lie.

Our room was a suite and it was good until we had to get ready for bed. Went to pull of the sofa couch and it looked like a dog mulled it. Called front desk and said he would have to come look at it. Upon looking said he would see what he could do. A half hour later told us we could move rooms. We had to pack up everything and move at 9:00 pm . No convince fee or discount was offered. The whole stay we were there there was no hot water. It was cold and the quickest shower I had ever had to take. I would not stay here again.

NO HOT WATER . my wife and I decided to have a little getaway for valentines day . So we got the jacuzzi room . Room is nice and clean breakfast was good. Pool is dirty and smells really strong like chlorine. Buy what really killed it and ruined our entire valentines weekend getaway and we could not even use the jacuzzi tub that we paid extra for bc there was not good enough hot water . We couldn't even take a hot shower it was freezing .let alone use a jacuzzi tub . Called the front desk first night and complained of no hot water and they responded saying they already had complaints on the issue and that a plumber was being contacted. So Saturday morning we ask a guy at the front desk if they figured anything out with the hot water and he responded saying that the plumber never showed up and that one would be there that day. Saturday night comes around still no hot water . Wake up Sunday about to check out . complained again to front dest that i could not use tub and had to take cold showers . And he tells me they know of the problem and it's been that way for months .and they only have 4 water boilers working for the entire hotel . And now I'm pissed . So they rented us a room knowing of the problem. Knowing that there was not good enough hot water to even use the tub and did not tell us . So I ask for something to be done about the bill bc we paid extra for the jacuzzi room . And was not even able to use it. Or take a good shower . I felt like we was robbed of our money. Paying for a luxury we did not receive. And they just give us the run around tell us to call later when manager is there . So we do. they take down our number say they will call us tomorrow and they never call . So we called back and they tell us to call tomorrow because the manager is not in . We are over the run around. We have already called corporate. And the health department and BBB. We deserve compilation for them being a slumloard hotel .

We stayed here for a hockey tournament for two nights. I had requested a crib for the room but upon check-in it was not in the room so I had to call the front desk. The term "crib" is very generous here as it was smaller than a pack n play and would definitely not fit my 2 year old. The 2" thick crib mattress arrived with dirty baby footprints all over it. Gross. So my baby had to sleep with me and my other son on the not comfortable queen mattress. We stayed in the two queen bed suite with additional living area. I had put 5 guests on the check-in but the room only had towels for 3, convenient!! The room was a good size and upon initial glance looked ok. Upon further inspection the furniture was stained and torn, sofa bed could not be slept on as it was literally just cloth covering hard springs. The sheet to cover the sofa bed had large brown stains on it. There was cereal along the floor edges of the beds from a prior guest. So was it clean? No. Also while we were here there was no hot water. They sent a maintenance person up who advised they had been having trouble with their recirculation pump so the hot water was spotty. Who doesn't love a cold shower? Housekeeping came in the second day and didn't even make the beds!! The only decent thing here was the free breakfast which my kids enjoyed and the staff was very friendly. I give it one star for the breakfast. Would not stay here again nor recommend.

The hotel was nice. The only real complaint I have, is the hot water. The water was lukewarm at best the first morning. We spoke to the front desk and someone was there working on it. They said it should be fixed the following day. The next morning the water was even colder than the first day. We did tell the front desk at check out and got a "sorry". It really stunk to not only have to take a cold shower but did not have a coffee pot in the room to recover from the cold shower. Our freezer door on the fridge was also broken so the freezer was leaking into the fridge. It would have been a great hotel if hot water was available!!

When traveling, Holiday Inns are my hotel of choice. They are clean, comfortable, and offer a great breakfast. This was my most disappointing stay at a Holiday Inn. The actual pillows had stains on them, I am pretty sure one was a blood stain. The shower curtain looked dirty and I could not get hot water for the shower. I went for breakfast 20 minutes before it was to close & they were completely out of food; there were at least 5 of us in line that had to walk away while I was there. The hallway was overly warm, which exasperated the smell of stale cigarettes.

The room did not have smell & the bed was comfortable with the soft sheets & blanket I have come to expect at a Holiday Inn.

I will not stay at this hotel again.

We stopped here on our way to our family Christmas. It was a very comfortable stay friendly staff. We absolutely loved Nancy from our breakfast staff. She’s so friendly understand and helpful with our little children! She is a sweetheart thank you again!

Only downside was the pool was very chilly, but that was OK because it’s shortened our length of time spent at the pool so we can go to bed lol

BEDBUGS, be careful! We use to book this hotel a-lot and it was always clean and great. Over the last year it has declined bad! The rooms are filthy and they now have bed bugs! I pulled the blanket back and there was one there alive. Management didn't seem too surprised and assisted me well with a refund. Will now never stay there again. Hope management can figure it out but wanted to warn stayers.
