We flew in with a group. There was NO ground transportation available. It would be nice if there were golf carts to rent for a reasonable price or a courtesy car available as there are in most small airports. We were told they could not give us a ride. It’s quite a hike to store/office/ restaurant from the nice airstrip especially in the 100 degree heat. We would have gone to the restaurant upon arrival but sat in the heat until they brought us our cabin keys a little early….thank goodness! |Cabins were pretty nice. We did walk in the evenings to restaurant and food and service were good. Staff was pleasant. All in all our visit was nice. Just need transportation for those who fly in.

Hannah at the bar for pelicans is the best. Her and Misty her coworker are amazing!! Joy the night shift manager of pelicans is outstanding. Great customer service!!

Our favorite place to tent camp with a large group! Bathrooms are clean & cold/warm depending on the season. Great lake access & friendly staff. Security over Labor Day weekend was great. Such a friendly security guard!

This place is fantastic and exceeded our expectations. My son and I stayed for a week after canceling a VRBO close by in Sherwood shores because of the conditions. The staff was first class and we made a reservation in one of the small fishing cabins. The cabin was small but very clean and extremely reasonable. This was a last minute reservation but it worked. The staff recommended a fishing guide Charlie that works right out of the local marina. We live on the Great Lakes have been with hundreds of guides. This guys is the salt of the earth and the best we have ever been with not because of just knowledge but overall experience. Again the Best!!! We limited out on striper in one hour! I almost hate writing this review because this place is a hidden gem that we will visit every year going forward. The bar restaurant has limited menu but great. The compound is in excellent shape and the prices are the best I have experienced for any resort I have ever been too. Thanks for the great experience.

We ate dinner at the Pelican restaurant. It took a while to be seated even though it wasn't busy. We watched a table of 8 walkout because no one took their order. It's hit or miss with service at this restaurant. The food is reasonably priced, nothing spectacular. The food was ok.

What a cool place. Nice and the prices are reasonable. Friendly atmosphere but this is a membership place ($5 per year). 3 beers on tap. Cod was a little over cooked... but we ate it all as an appitizer. Good looking bar and a nice view of the Marina.

We come here once a year to a beautiful fly-in. Everything is almost perfect, from the gorgeous restaurant, to the cute shopping ship store. Only thing I would change to make the rooms more comfortable would be the pillows, & bedding. Sure would make our stay a lot better. Prices at restaurant run from $15/$25 per person, love their drinks, & cabins run approximately $150/$200.
Great place over all with gorgeous nature.
