The restaurant is gorgeous. I loved the artwork. The cashier was friendly. I ordered the Native American salad, fry bread, and a lavender lemonade. While waiting for my food, the cashier brought out a free second lemonade. The food is amazing! I'm so glad Bryan County has an amazing five star restaurant! I'll definitely be back, and I'll bring family and friends.

Golden frybread served plain or sweet (honey and powdered sugar), banaha (a pudding-style corn bread similar to tamale), and tanchi labona (hominy corn with pork as a porridge) were all excellent. Also a better unsweetened tea than I’ve had in a while. I appreciate that there are delicious-looking options at many different price ranges—rare for a museum cafe.

The people, though, are what made this such a nice stop.

We have made two visits to the Cultural Center but this was our first time to try the cafe. The food was excellent and you get plenty to eat. It does get quite busy so be prepared for a wait.

The best restaurant in Oklahoma. 5 star quality chef prepared food for a wonderful value. The decor is beautiful! Chef Tanya is very friendly and I was pleased to meet her. The rest of the staff is always ready to help with a smile. I love to hang out here just for coffee or dine with my favorite menu choice of the day. Indian Tacos, Catfish, chicken Marsala just a few favorites.

I love visiting the Choctaw Cultural Center! From the moment I stepped in, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly staff who were eager to share their culture and heritage. The atmosphere was vibrant and inviting, and the exhibits provided fascinating insights into the rich history of the Choctaw Nation.

But what truly stole the show for me was the food! Chef Tanya's culinary skills are simply unmatched. Every dish was bursting with flavor and made with love. From traditional favorites to modern interpretations, each bite was a journey of deliciousness.

Not only was the food exceptional, but Chef Tanya herself was also a delight to interact with. Her passion for cooking and dedication to showcasing Choctaw cuisine is evident in every dish she prepared.

I brought home food after attending a class yesterday and OMG it was good!!! My daughter ordered the Indian Taco with a side of the southwest dressing. She devoured it. I had the Pecan salad and pulled pork sandwich and fries. The salad was much bigger than I expected. The fruit was fresh and the blue cheese crumbles were the perfect bite with the dressing. That sandwich though... OUT OF THIS WORLD!! It was huge. I had the most juicy chunks of pork in the best, spicy, mouthwatering bbq sauce. And to make it even better it had crispy onion pieces on top. They even toasted the bun!! The fried were battered and seasoned and were so good dipped in extra bbq sauce. For dessert we shared the handmade gelato. I thought I had died and went to heaven. I have never had ice cream that was better (and I grew up in Blue Bell country). It was so chocolatey and had swirls of chocolate sauce and mouthfuls of chocolate chips. After tasting a sample of it; I went back and bought a cup full of every flavor for my freezer at home.
Another good thing about the Café is that you can visit anytime even if you do not go through the museum. It's at the front. So my daughter and I will be coming in just to pick up take out for supper, or maybe some ice cream when we are out running errands.
