I recently stayed in a suite at the Hilton and, overall, it was a relaxing and comfortable experience. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, providing a great atmosphere to unwind. However, I did encounter two small issues during my stay.

First, the silverware provided in the room was lacking—there was only a single fork, and unfortunately, it wasn’t clean. This was a bit disappointing, but not a deal-breaker.

The bigger issue, though, was my interaction with Richard over the phone. While I didn’t meet him in person, his attitude came across as quite nonchalant and dismissive when I called to ask some questions about my booking. He repeatedly interrupted me, never allowing me to finish a question, which made the conversation quite frustrating. I eventually ended the call and tried again later, at which point I was helped by someone much more polite and welcoming.

After looking at other reviews, I was surprised to find that Richard’s behavior is a recurring issue. It’s frustrating when someone in customer service disregards the basics of their job. If you’re not going to be courteous to guests, perhaps it’s better to stay home.

Despite these minor setbacks, the rest of my stay was enjoyable, and I don’t have any major complaints.

Horrible Experience at Home2 Suites by Hilton, Columbus, GA

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Home2 Suites by Hilton in Columbus, GA. The staff were incredibly inconsiderate and seemed to have no understanding of customer care. My flight was delayed, and I wasn’t going to arrive at the hotel until after midnight. To my shock, I received an email stating that my reservation had been canceled.

I immediately called the hotel and was greeted by the receptionist, Richard, who was very inconsiderate and spoke over me the entire time. He informed me that there was nothing he could do about my existing reservation and that the hotel was fully booked. To add to my frustration, he mentioned that my room would remain vacant for the night, but there was nothing he could do to get me in.

Richard then directed me to Hilton corporate, who said the hotel could not accommodate me and offered a room for $500 a night, taking full advantage of my situation. This experience was incredibly aggravating and unprofessional.

I would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. If you’re a Hilton Honors member, it means nothing here. Consider becoming a member with another hotel chain that actually values and honors its loyal members. I travel 50% of the time, and it is crucial for me to find a reliable hotel group. Unfortunately, Home2 Suites by Hilton in Columbus, GA, is not one of them.

We are Hilton Honors members. Booked multiple rooms for a family celebration. We have always favored Home 2 Suites and recommended this hotel to our family members. Huge mistake! Stayed 5 days and never had any of our rooms serviced. Asked repeatedly to please have our room serviced, but never received any services. Asked the front desk for towels three times and every time they said they had none. I've never been to any hotel that had no towels! Worst of all, when I turned on the coffee maker in the morning, a German cockroach ran out of it. So disgusting. The floors were sticky and dirty. The lock to both of our bathroom doors were broken and the key cards rarely worked. The toilet was broken in one of our rooms. We were extremely disappointed and embarrassed that we recommended this hotel to our loved ones. I don't understand how Hilton could ever find this hotel and services acceptable.

I checked in today, the room is good, overall clean. The staff is very nice and professional. However, I found several small roach crawling underneath the bed and desk which make me feel uncomfortable. This is my 3rd stay here and never encounter bug in the room.
Other than that, I still like the location and room of this hotel.

Today 8/31/24 at approximately 10:40 am , a random cleaning lady barged into my room. without knocking or announcing herself. I was startled by this. Checkout was not until 11 am. This is unacceptable, inconsidetate, and unsafe. I have never had a hotel do this! What’s even worse is the same thing was done to my uncle and parents who were also staying here! We went to management and he said he would look into it. He didn’t ask our names or room number. So clearly he did nothing. I will be contacting corporate.

The bathroom door would not close because of a SCREW MISSING. No maintenance ppl were on staff for the 2 days we stayed there. So... not cool using the bathroom with the door open. It was a sliding door. One pillow case was dirty ( nose mucus... aka booger with a hair). We brought our own tho. A sign in the lobby says if you are not satisfied the night is free. Well. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. I reported the door issue to 3 different ppl at the desk. Two nights I stayed there

Terrible experience. No service whatsoever. Asked for towels and they said they had no towels!!! Ran out of toilet paper, soap and other bathroom products. No one would answer the phone at the front desk. Roaches in my daughter's room. Dishwasher was disgusting. I would rate 0 stars.

Bathroom door does not close...jammed, totally non-functional. Reported this to staff. She said they are having to replace many of the doors throughout the hotel, each one has to be measured, ordered, replaced, one at a time, and they are currently working on the second floor bathroom doors... my room was on the fourth. No offer to change rooms. If you value privacy in the bathroom, be sure to ask for a room with a functional door! Also bed linens did not feel clean and crisp... poor quality. A dust ruffle was used as a bedcover (seriously) and the pillowcases were worn and and badly flawed. Car dealership next door has loud speakers to blare announcements for their entire property and beyond... not conducive to getting any rest. Good luck with the bathroom door!
