There were two sides to the stay. The room we were assigned smelled very strong like old fish. It was really bad. The lady at the front desk was very gracious and assigned us a new room. Curiously though, the second room (different floor) smelled the same, yet not as strong. It was late, so we figured we would just get used to it eventually. The room was decent, but there .was mold in the shower, a malfunctioning shower faucet, rusty tub wall, nastiness behind the toilet and the windows were bolted shut. The second desk lady that I talked to was very nice, and found a new cartridge for the empty air freshener in the room. Overall, the staff was nice, but the room was bad.

So far everything is great. It smelled good when I walked in the hotel and our room & the clerks at check in were very nice & welcoming. The condition of our room is excellent compared to the other Choices hotels that we’ve stayed in so far this year; the bed was so comfortable we had a hard time getting up?

Go buy a tent and sleep in the parking lot. You’ll sleep better!

Garbage full in the room. Keys from another. Night on night stand. Pillows from when Jimmy Carter was in office and the bed, I imagine was a Good Will purchase. Bath tub slow to drain. Air conditioning messed up.

But the absolute worse part was they tried to hide some sort of awful smell with a plug in air freshener designed for a house so now everything I own smells of Glade garden flowers.

Worked 3 days and 1 night. Stayed a total of 4 days. Not one day did I have TV. After working all day, don't expect to get to the room and relax, unless you watch your phone. The last 2 days I had no shower. You couldn't pay me to stay here again. The only positive thing I can say is that the breakfast was pretty good.

very bad experience checked inn late the air was not at 69 try turning it down it would not go down room was warm. house- keeping keep coming in the room at 8 am we havn't even check out the room plus started knocking on the door 1 st time 2nd time while i was in the shower she try to come inn again at 10;30 at this point it was ridiculous shower soup was open used by some one. would never stay here again ever

There are terrible smells in the rooms. It’s a fishy, industrial smell mixed with a mildew smell that is overwhelming and does not go away. Once you walk in the hallway it’s fine, but I switched rooms twice to try and escape the smell but with no luck. If you can’t smell, then you’ll be fine, looks like they’re trying to renovate the rooms so things are updated, but that smell is too much. We had to check out early for the sake of our health. The front desk clerks were ok, but one of them got annoyed when we asked questions about charges since we couldn’t see the text written on the very dim tablet screen you check out on. The location is close to the highway, but when we pulled up there were a bunch of people drinking beers in the parking lot. It was a little awkward to be the first this we encounter when pulling up.

Put us in a scum of a room and then was rude to me about it upon leaving. We got in evening time and didn't feel like arguing with desk people which are next to rude. Room walls are molded and bathroom walls. Rusty nasty toilet and bathtub. I didn't even shower it was so bad. Bed was ughhhh. Bugs in rooms. I had more pics but this tells all. They have horrible reviews. Wish I would have looked first. We are platinum choice members and gotnthe worse room they had.

This has been by far the worst experience that I’ve had staying at an hotel.I am a Hilton Honors member and elected to stay at Columbus Country Inn because other family members were staying there. Lesson learned and I will stick to what I know. The staff was very friendly and helpful as I changed rooms 3 times to get an accommodation up to par. The rooms have gone through a renovation however the quality of the work is very poor. The showers have so much mold and there is mold in the walls that caused severe headaches. Covering the smell with bleach makes it worse. I changed rooms the first day from 111 to 112 and 112 was just as bad that I purchased my own mold and mildew spray that by morning on the 2nd it had returned and had to change rooms again. The 3rd floor room 303 was alot better however the lingering mold smell within the walls is just there. I do have pictures and videos but I will not share. I would not recommend this hotel ever to anyone.
