I really like how old school it is in the restaurant. That’s the neat part about it. The history.

The burgers are decent. Nothing special, but decent. It was cooked just right. But it lacks seasoning

The cobbler is super delicious. It’s even better with ice cream.

It’s a good place to get a hearty meal after hiking or walking medicine park.

Definitely still worth the visit despite how bland it kinda is.

The atmosphere is very calm and the staff is very welcoming.

Don’t forget to tip your waitress!

where do i start? The burger is at best a 6 out of 10..they use no seasoning at all..its a shame because it could have been so much better..its not bad but its not even close to being great..if you are in the area you really have no other choice but this place..its a good experience just seeing it but dont expect a great burger. Do not believe these 5 star reviews..theyve never had a great burger.

Cozy rustic place to eat when you visit Mount Scott and wildlife refuge. Great service. Enjoyed the Meers burger. Didn't have room for their popular cobbler. Only drawback is cash only. Took my now girlfriend there on a date and my debit card was denied by their ATM bc of fraud alert by my bank since I was traveling from out of town. Girlfriend had to pay 😅 but I still got the girl 😎👍🏻

This restaurant use to be a favorite road trip go to but now it’s just nothing special other than the roughness of the decor and history.
The burgers are just ok, served in a metal tin pan which is their usual. The onion rings are not made on site but just boxed frozen heated rings. No fried green tomatoes like before. Limited menu.
The cobbler was good. Not as good as before. Was it worth the hour+ drive from OKC, No. Sad that it hasn’t kept up the history of unique good food. Won’t visit again. Glad we have a memories of the old times.
The wait staff was good. Friendly, and very attentive.
My husband felt that there are pending safety issues with cleanliness and structure. It’s old!
Bathrooms are a bit unkept.
Cash only. Is open on Thursday.

This is not a fancy place. You will stand in line to get in. But....it is a unique place. Serving HUGE portions, so keep that in mind when you order. Our server was very good. And those employees there....work hard. They were on the "go" and keep the flow moving. The cobbler and ice cream....yummy !

We ate at this place while in town for a Basic Training Graduation, and the food was phenomenal (and the sweet tea). I had the 8 oz cheeseburger, cooked with Texas Longhorn Steer beef, and it did not disappoint.
