Really fantastic location near campus and in the downtown area. We enjoyed an efficient and affordable breakfast to start the day. The room was spacious and pristine. The only slight negative was hearing the toilets flush from the floor above. We will happily stay there in the future!

We had a great stay and the staff helped us by keeping our luggage while we attended an event prior to our departure. The room was very comfortable. The only thing I would change is add a different pillow size, as they were all the same, a bit too big and a bit too stiff for me. ||Great location!

Location Location Location. A very clean modern hotel. The rooms are smaller than Days Inn & Comfort Inn, but the Keurig coffee was nice. The pillows are square and too thick, like a double throw pillow. Very uncomfortable. They cock your neck at 45 degrees. No complimentary breakfast. Not worth $220

Lovely modern spacious room, friendly hotel staff, good restaurant food. Everything you needed, nothing more, nothing less, which was great.||||Couple of things I mentioned to management re: the room: One of the room keys was not keyed correctly upon check-in. Also, the lighted hand mirror in the bathroom (lovely to have, I thought initially) didn't light. Someone had left the mirror turned on, and the bulb had burned out so unfortunately the mirror was not usable. ||||What to know re: parking: You pay for it (this was not noted when I booked the room). You get a pass key to let your car in and out of a public parking garage across the street from the hotel. This worked fine, just would have appreciated full disclosure upon booking.||||Hotel is in a decent area, walkable to a number of restaurants and shops (we didn't have time to fully explore, but perhaps on a future trip). KSU is close by but drivable rather than walkable.

Several areas in need of improvement:||1. More light! The 3 lamps are not enough.||2. Handicap bars in the shower .||3. Need ports for USB cable||4. LOWER the beds! I am 5ft tall, use a walker and am rather self sufficient, however I had a very difficult time getting in bed.

We recently stayed at the Kent State Hotel for our small company retreat, and it was an outstanding experience! One of our rooms was an executive suite, which was perfect for formal and informal team discussions. The accommodations were spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained.

We also enjoyed several meals at the hotel restaurant. The food was delicious, and the service was consistently friendly and attentive. It was so convenient to have dining options right on-site.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making sure every detail of our stay was seamless. The hotel's central location was a bonus, with easy access to everything we needed.

We highly recommend the Kent State Hotel for a team retreat or any group stay—it exceeded our expectations, and we’d happily return!

Fantastic place to stay! Love the atmosphere. Plenty of places you can walk to for food. Staff is always friendly and helpful!||So convenient to have onsite restaurant and bar.||Not sure of anything else you could want in a hotel. Always feel safe staying and I like the nice parking garage.

I stayed here while visiting my daughter who attends Kent State University. It is centrally located making it very walkable around town. The parking garage is across the street & you do get to park there at a discounted rate which is nice because there was an ice storm while I was there.|The hotel has a nice lobby area, small restaurant/bar (1910), small exercise area and pool- pool was closed off during my two night stay. The room was adequate. The shower was dated. I was disappointed that my room wasn’t cleaned very well- trash can in the bathroom hadn’t been emptied, there was white dust if some sort in different areas of the bathroom (like some had painted/sanded) and just dust that was easily seen on the dresser. The room had a small tv, mini fridge, single serve coffee maker, desk and a chair w/ottoman. I was thoroughly surprised that they didn’t do a better job of salting their sidewalk & walkways. It was quite dangerous walking outside to get the area where you can temporarily park your car to load & unload your car. I’ll give this place another try.
