We were greeted and seated immediately and the host was friendly. The place is very clean and it was obvious that everyone working there was courteous, respectful and happy!

Our waitress was awesome! She was very helpful with the menu. I inquired about the broiled fish topped with gumbo. I was concerned about it having a fishy taste. She assured me it did not. She stated that okra and tomatoes was in their gumbo and it was served over rice. My husband ordered fried fish.

My broiled fish entree was awesome!!! It came with white beans, a baked potatoe and the salad bar. We are from Louisiana and accustomed to our food being seasoned. This did not disappoint! My husband enjoyed his fried fish too.

While we were sitting there, the waiter and waitresses were all busy taking care of their customers! I observed other staff replenishing the salad bar, wiping off around it and consistently cleaning up.

The manager (I believe), George, came by our table and was very cordial. We spoke about their Shreveport/Bossier and Monroe locations. He shared a few stories with us regarding the founder, Mr. Beard, and spoke highly about him. (He’s passed.) He told us that he had been with this company since he was a young teenager.

I highly recommend this location for your dining experience!

Fantastic food and service. Great place to eat while in Broken Bow or Hochatown. Love the kids' meals, and the hand breaded chicken fried steak is excellent . Derrick is the best server ever, and we leave happy every time.

Fish was small and dry .
The HUSHPUPPYS were like mute puppies
Chewy morsels of cold dryer up cornmeal..the
Frys , OK bc they had some warmth, and I was hungry.
I would recommend just ordering the katchup.

Wonderful restaurant, whether you're dining alone, on a date night, or as a family. The food was phenomenal, service was wonderful, and the prices were very reasonable. My wife had the fish dinner and I had the chicken fried steak. The fish was absolutely delicious, and the chicken fried steak was the best I've had in a very long time. Both meals included the salad bar. I honestly wish I could give them more than five stars. Thank you for the wonderful dining experience, and everyone, if you're in the area, please check them out!

Great food. Small, crispy pieces of fish. Exactly like I like them. The price reflects their size. The 5 piece dinner was $10.99 served with fries, hush puppies, beans and a trip to the salad bar. Beans and coleslaw were top notch!

After several years of this place being sub par, today was a pleasant change. The food was perfect. Fish and beans hot and fresh. The waiter, Derek, was the best. A guy like him could turn this business around and back on the right track. I would like to see him be the manager here.
We will definitely be back.

Delicious food! I ordered the Cajun Sampler. Plenty of food and even brought a doggie bag home. Salad bar was great and the fried pickles were on point!

We went with our adult autistic grandson. Our waiter was very understanding and patient. The food was fresh and hot and the salad bar was very neat and fully stocked. It was a very good experience.
