Small, local, American-owned hotels/motels are rare in the USA these days. The owners, managers, maintenance, and housekeeping teams genuinely care GREATLY for their guests. Some of them are facing serious challenges, yet this owner/management team treats each with GREAT courtesy, dignity, and respect REGARDLESS of the person(s). TRULY, a rarity in today's world. A 5-Star, Ritz Carlton, it is not, but the rooms, grounds, and public spaces are ALWAYS clean and orderly. The staff is ALWAYS ready, willing, and able to assist with any issue that may arise, and in a VERY timely manner.
BTW: no motel I've ever stayed in has afforded viewing a bevy of deer before dawn and after dusk, nearly every day.

It’s only 37 a night there’s some things about it that aren’t ideal. The floor is carpet even by the shower, so bring some slippers. The carpet looks new and clean though. The curtains aren’t good enough to keep the sun out. There’s a dollar store down the street tho so if you wanna go buy something cheap like a black trash bag to hang up to keep the light out. You can literally walk to the dollar store.

Again. It’s only 37 a night. You can’t even stay at your moms house for 37 a night. For that price you can stay here and drive to that conference in the city. Gas is cheaper than staying at a hotel in the city sometimes.

If you take a shower in the winter turn it on hot and let it run for a good 10-15 minutes before you get in. Other than that. Did I mention it’s only 37 a night?

The front desk doesn’t always have staff at the desk especially later in the evening. So if you have an issue you may need to call a phone number and wait ten or 15 minutes. I think I heard it’s only like 37 bucks a night though so that’s reasonable.

The bed was super comfortable! Better than the bed I had at extended stay America! It may be 37 dollars a night, the bed is the quality of a $400+ per night hotel, and to me that’s really all that matters.

I can't blame them for their choice of location.. Def a different set up for a hotel than we're use to. Yes I read the other reviews about bugs.. yes we saw them; and they wanted 75 for pet fee.. My biggest issue was the fact they charged us 2 queen bed rooms.. I'm sorry but NO WAY it was a queen. Told me their only full size beds were in the double bed rooms... not satisfied, but we only stayed 1 night.

I give one star only because a 0 or lower isn't an option with Google reviews.
I took my kids for a night of hot showers and laundry while everything else was frozen across the area.
They told me up front that they had no water problems, I guess that only means They don't have a problem with it. Nearly No pressure in the shower.
The water pressure could be written off to the slowly freezing pipe around town, but that wasn't the biggest problem.
As we settled in for some TV while waiting our turn with the ONE washer and dryer set in the building, we noticed a small bug come from under one of the fresh pillows they had brought to us (4 people checked in and we had 2 pillows in the room)
A closer look at the scurrying guest revealed a BED BUG!!
I went to the front desk because there was no phone in the room, called the contact number from my cell because nobody at the front desk and told the young lady what we had found.
While they quickly provided another room, it was smaller with no shower room, only a shower and curtain installed in a corner of the room. This means that, for the sake of modesty, I had to leave the room while my daughter's used the shower again, hopefully washing away and bedbugs hiding on them.
To top everything else off, they gave my room number out.
It turns out to be OK because it was my nephew asking, but the point is, they had no proof of that and could have called to verify.
Overall, I would recommend paying the extra $10 or so across town and stay as far away from this place as possible.
True rating = NEGATIVE 5.

I didn't even want to give you 1 star but I had to in order to post this. Room 119 Just wanted to tell you that I left at 10pm because you have bed bugs along with other issues. I couldn't use the air conditioner because of the burnt plug. The light for the shower has a short in it, and the shower appears to have mold on the wall. Good way to get someone electrocuted. For you to advertise a clean establishment is very fraudulent. Most of your pics online must be from another hotel. If definitely isn't this one. The pics i took look nothing like yours. I'm not sure how you pass your state code inspections, but I am a Safety Officer and you are breaking many NFPA codes. Not to mention placing anyone who stays at your establishment in danger. That was definitely the worst room I have ever attempted to stay in. The bedbugs were the final blow to my already uneasy feeling.

Surreal experience. This is an ex-hospital, but has not been renovated, so it's just like staying in a hospital. Looks and smells just like hospital.

Never anyone at the front desk, had to wait 20 minutes after checking in for them to get there from somewhere, and never saw them again.

Shared bathrooms with the room next door, didn't see anyone try and use it, so I suppose they only let every second room.

No housekeeping on weekends. Housekeeping took my only bath towel on the Friday and didn't replace it, so I had no way to dry myself for the Saturday and Sunday. No front desk person to ask either.

It's cheap though.

Husband made a reservation to stay in Jan 2024. Due to inclement weather, he arrived at 8:55 pm. He went inside and found no one there at the reception desk. There was a sign stating that if no one was there, please call this number. He called it about 10 times and no one answered. He then called the number on his itinerary and they told him to just go elsewhere and they'd refund it. Well, 6 weeks later, still no refund until he doesn't 45 minutes talking to a representative and sitting on hold and finally got it. It's very frustrating to travel 9 hours to teach a destination, you're tired and want to go to bed because you have to get up very early and learn you have to go find some place to stay.

The Receptionist was so sweet. The motel on the other hand was horrible. It’s an old hospital and when you get your key it looks like a prison key, the rooms had dead bolts on them and nothing had changed in the room from a hospital setting except the bed. We walked in and out and ask for a refund and they graciously gave it back there were men standing around smoking. Plz don’t stay unless your in to twisted hospital stay.
