Stopped in while in town, cute little establishment. Western vibe. Tried pit fries because they were recommended by the waitress. They were good. 😋 The waitress was attentive, and the food portions were enormous. Got my belly full. If you're in the mood for barbecue, stop in and gove it a try.

Not the best, but not the worst. Meats could use more flavor. Okra and slaw were pretty good. Service wasn't atrocious, but definitely could have been better. Overall I would say a great place to get your lunch at, but definitely not a must-see destination.

The Son's burgers are exceptional, and beyond anything his father has ever served.

Thoroughly disappointed. First the layout of the restaurant is awkward and it’s kind of setup as two different restaurants but share everything. We didn’t quite understand where to sit. The waitress was incredibly rude, had a real thug attitude and was darn near disrespectful enough we almost left. Most of the staff just was playing with their phones. The fried pickles, okra and onion rings were some of the worst that I have ever had. Very salty and odd burnt flavor I’m assuming came from the oil in their fryers because it was consistent throughout all the fried items. My partners pulled pork sandwich was very dry as was my sliced brisket. Nothing fancy about the sausage, just a cold sliced polished sausage. The potato salad didn’t have near enough mustard/pickle in it. The roll was very cold and hard. The coleslaw was the texture of rice pudding which was odd, however it was the best tasting item out of the entire meal. This was a swing and a miss for sure. Drive an extra block up the road to the Buffalo Grill.

Great place however you must always, always, always check your bag if you decide to get it to go. They have a habit of forgetting things. Other than that yeah really good food I recommend it.

Great place to eat at. The food is wonderful and the service is outstanding. The ribs are very tender, and the pulled pork is moist, tender and delicious. Salads are good and huge in portion. Me and the family stop here every time we come to Hugo.

I have been coming to this place since they opened but I went about 4 years in between since my last visit.
Since then, I have become obsessed with brisket or anything Beef so I stopped this time to specifically ask for brisket and compare it to the one I smoked 3 weeks ago.
This place is always packed and today was no exception. As I walked in, there were about 5 people standing, some looked confused others tired and a bit irritated. I knew what I wanted so I went straight to the counter and asked for the slices brisket with fries and onion rings.

The two girls working the register, phone, tables and to-go orders looked very tired. The one who took my order was very polite even though she was overwhelmed.

After placing my order, as always I like to check out the bathrooms. They were okay… not bad but a bit odd as far as were its at, and it is unisex. Nothing wrong with that but I can see where this may be an issue with females.

Back to waiting for my food, I noticed some people had been waiting in their car for their food. They would come in to check on it. I got my order within 10 minutes, no too bad. I used that time to observe and take some pictures for this review.

Positive things:
•Although you guys could use some help, some how the girls working the front area handle various tasks, they do very well while remaining composed and polite.
•The food is good and has unique flavors.
•The outside looks inviting and fits the type of restaurant decor for what you offer.
•The menu is simple but clear and just enough items to keep everyone interested.

Things to work on:
Boy, I did not like the entrance at all. There is a table there I dont know what is for. For guest waiting on their to-go orders? Or is it to dine in? If its for dinning in it feels weird. There is a small sauce bar a bit odd and next to it a coffee maker on another table. You could improve this area by removing this items and make it more welcoming perhaps replace it with a bench for people to seat while waiting for food or to order.
•As I walked around, I notice that the empty tables were dirty with food and napkins, this included the reception table at the entrance.
•The bathroom. This may be the only reason I did not give you 5 stars. The bathroom is right there 30 to 40 inches away from the first table. Thats just uncomfortable and weird. You could install a partition wall, remove that table and now have more separation and privacy for the bathroom goers and for the poor people who have to seat there and have to put up with people walking back and forth and hearing and smelling what comes out.

Awesome brisket! A bit cold and dry but thats alright the smoked flavor was awesome! Prices were good.
Hope to be back soon and dine in!
