Great spot if you want quiet and low traffic. A couple of walkable restaurants and a walmart. Nice pond with a walking path around it. Breakfast was better than average for most hotels. Staff was nice. Rooms are clean. ONLY downside is the clientele staying there at the time we were there - inebriated and singing karaoke at the front door, harassing people for tips. I don't fault HIE, people should know how to behave at a hotel.

Wonderful hotel and reasonably priced. Lots of shopping and food choices very close most within three blocks. The breakfast every morning was. Delicious and there was so many options, definitely something for everyone even those with special diet restrictions. The pool was amazing and the room was beautiful and very comfortable. They had just gotten rid of their hot tub so that was a little disappointing but over all an awesome place to stay.

Having a family of 5 plus 1 guest, we booked the double queen with pull out sofa. The room itself was fine. The issue we ran into was that this room seemed to be divided in half as far as temperature is concerned. The half by the AC window unit was often very cold. Walking 10 feet towards the door and there was a 10+ degree heating difference! This was a second-floor room almost directly above the breakfast area. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with this (since the breakfast area had high ceilings that took up the space next to our room), but this made finding a comfortable room temp difficult.

When I booked this room, I received a double queen with a pull-out sofa. Since we ended up bringing one of my kid's friends, I used a priority upgrade to try and make it more comfortable. I'm pretty sure this is the exact same room I would have received without using the upgrade! Many hotels where you upgrade have a separate living space in the upgraded rooms. This one had a strange 'porch-like' sitting area. I guess that's the upgrade?

Finally, when I called to request a late checkout, they offered me noon(that's the checkout time on the door!). They didn't sound pleased when I asked for 1pm, but did approve it.

On a positive note, the room was clean, the breakfast was hot, and the rest of the staff was friendly.

The pool is warm! Bonus points. Beds were comfy. Breakfast was delicious. It was quiet (Sunday and Monday) nice view of a pond and fountain. Area seemed safe. Super polite and friendly staff. Smelled good. Looked clean.
No issues and would definitely recommend.

I was a little disappointed on check in on Monday Mar 3rd. I arrived at the hotel at 2.25pm and the receptionist without looking at the computer informed me that check inn was not until 3pm. I replied I understand that and informed her that I am Diamond Elite and I thought I could get early check inn and that I did the previous week at 12.30, I also informed her that any room will do. The receptionist then checked the computer and said there was no note on my reservation stating that I wanted an early check inn and that there will be no rooms ready until 3pm. I replied ok I will sit and wait but you and I both know that all the rooms are not just going to be ready at 3pm. At exactly 3.02pm I went back up to the receptionist and enquired as it is now check-in time. I think this young lady is on a path to losing her job which I don’t want to see that happen, but I do believe she does need a small lesson in PR to keep her on the right track. All the other staff are fantastic and helpful but unfortunately it only takes one to have a domino effect on the other staff in ratings. I fully understand check in was not until 3pm but the lady didn't even look to see if there was a room available.

First of all we love the IHG family! We do not have many complaints but this stay took us for a surprise. Our stay was for 2 nights and we rented 3 rooms. As my families rooms were nice except for the dirty fingerprints on the window, our room did not have a mirror closet door and when opening the couch to sleep on, there were little black pieces of things on the mattress along with the mattress being dirty with looked like rust from the couch! That morning, we left at 4:13am and went to check out to get a receipt of our stay. There was no one at the front desk!! I called out for help but no one came to the front. I called to get receipt’s for our rooms and they couldn’t even find us in the system. I had to wait on the phone and finally was sent our receipts. Here are some pictures of what I took.

We had power outage, high winds, and wildfires. I was out town working, my wife was home alone. I made reservations online for my wife. And I called to let them know she has a service dog. She was anxious due to her slow mobility and the extreme weather. She got there safely. The front desk personnel were great!
She called to let me know she was safe and very comfortable.
Thank you IHG for taking care of my family.

A Sojourn at the Holiday Inn Express – A Tale of Comfort and Curious Contrivances

I arrived in the humble hamlet of Glenpool as a weary traveler, road-worn and possessing a hunger for both sustenance and slumber. By Providence, I happened upon a fine lodging establishment, the Holiday Inn Express, a house of rest that, though not built for kings, did promise a night’s reprieve from the cruel indifference of the highway.

At first glance, the edifice stood proud and clean, a beacon of modern hospitality, though without the gaudy affectations of highfalutin city hotels where one must tip a fellow simply for existing. Nay, here I was greeted by a friendly clerk who, though not adorned in livery nor powdered wig, did possess a warm smile and the swiftness of hand to produce my room key with the efficiency of a riverboat card sharp.

The room itself was a wonder of contemporary ingenuity. The bed, soft as an Oklahoma sunset, did threaten to swallow me whole, and the pillows—fluffed to the heavens—caressed my weary head as though I were a babe in swaddling clothes. The lavatory facilities were of remarkable function, featuring a shower that, while pleasant, did require a keen intellect and a gambler’s luck to determine the proper ratio of heat to cold.

The morning repast, billed as “continental,” was indeed a feast fit for those who prefer their sustenance quick and without ceremony. The eggs, curious in both texture and origin, were accompanied by a sausage of unknown provenance but commendable flavor. And lo! There stood the famed pancake machine—a contraption most marvelous, which with the press of a button, did conjure forth hot cakes as if by sorcery. Had the great inventors of yore seen such a device, they may well have abandoned steam engines in favor of batter-fueled machinery.

Alas, no place is without flaw, and I must report that the walls, though fine in appearance, bore a curious thinness, allowing me to overhear the nocturnal musings of my fellow lodgers. One gentleman, in particular, did appear to be engaged in a heated debate with his own kinfolk or perhaps a malfunctioning telephone. Such are the perils of communal rest.

Yet, I departed the Holiday Inn Express refreshed, my constitution restored and my spirits lifted. If ever you find yourself in Glenpool, weary from the road and in need of rest, you could do far worse than this fine establishment. And should you master the ways of the pancake machine, consider yourself among the learned men of our time.
