We had an unexpected change of plans when we arrived in town for a concert and realized we had booked the wrong date at our original hotel. After calling seven fully booked hotels, we were so relieved to find Hy-Lo had one non-smoking room left. The front desk staff was courteous and helpful, and check-in was quick. The room was spacious, very clean, and you could tell the hotel is working on renovations—it just needs a few final touches to really shine. The shower looked a bit dirty at first glance, but it was clear that was just due to renovation materials, not cleanliness. One downside was the thin walls—we could hear the TV and some conversation from the neighboring room. Also, the hotel is still under renovation, which might not suit everyone. That said, it’s conveniently located near the casino, and overall, we had a comfortable stay. I’d definitely recommend Hy-Lo for your next visit to Durant, OK.

We have really enjoyed our stay this past week here. There was some touch-up cleaning in the shower that was addressed on the first full day, almost immediately after we notified the staff. We got to our room late on our first night so I didn't notice the need until the following morning.

The staff has been very friendly, helpful and approachable all week. Christina has gone out of her way to really make this a positive and welcoming stay. Thank you to all the staff so very much!

Hilo, Oklahoma, Wednesday:
Construction in entrance, the gentleman asked if it was OK for us to be on the third floor because construction was going on on the first floor and he didn’t want it to bother us. Which was not a problem with us at all to be on the third floor.
Cool entrance way. some interesting pieces to look at and observe.
Nice gym area.
Okay breakfast -had hot items, including biscuits and gravy.
High ceilings in room.
Window over the bed were cool
Comfortable beds/4 pillows
Sound proof rooms which was very nice!
It also had a nice area in the back with a fire pit to be able to sit and chill.
We had a view of the casino, which was pretty cool when it was lit up at night.
Thank you for your Oklahoma hospitality!
This was the first night of our seven day, each night in a different hotel, road trip. You were on the top three list.

We have a Tesla and the weather is super cold outside. Coming from Tulsa at 96%, our battery depleted at a rapid rate and would not make it to Denison, TX supercharge station as originally expected. No other hotels around had a Tesla charging station that you didn’t have to have your own adapter for. We didn’t have our adapter. Hy-lo hotel luckily had all the accessories needed at their charging station to save our tails. The front desk clerk was so kind and so helpful.

Horrible customer service. When first entering I thought the front desk employee was a guest bc she was sitting on a couch in the lobby, eating & watching TV. Didn't even get up to greet us, but did advise us to book online for a better rate. Staff is unprofessional, undertrained & uninformed. Pri, the manager, is unreasonable & full of lies that he claims is their policy.

Positive: This hotel is on its way to be a hidden gem! It is in the process of renovation but what is completed is totally unique and modern. The staff are extremely friendly and warm. The room was large, simple and clean. Located 1 block from Choctaw Casino Negative: Caulking around bathtub was aged and dark.

Loved the place, the only knock against them is a limited breakfast menu. Eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. Cereal was an option and I believe they also had bread available. Other than that they were redoing the carpet in the lobby but the room was great and the ac was able to keep the room like an ice box. I would definitely recommend.
