I would say this hotel does not have the same standards as other Best Western locations for their customer service and business style stay.
I would suggest something elsewhere if you prefer good customer service.
GOOD:
It is clean and the person who works in the breakfast area was exceptional and friendly.
The housekeeping were polite and friendly.
The one employee who worked the one day had filled in and was exceptional and alligned with Best Western style like the breakfast host and housekeeping.
NOT SO GOOD:
Lobby Off Limits
Mark the manager, according to the person working on the day we checked out, refuses to allow anyone to sit in the lobby after check out time.
You are to check in and check out and leave promptly.
Main Floor Not Guranteed
The other experience at check-in was unwelcoming as it was not what we reserved. We reserved main floor ahead of time.
OVERALL
Decent place, but I would stay at a different location if you prefer to have good customer and a business style stay.
DETAILED EXPERIENCE:
We had 2 unsual experiences that are worth explaining for all those who love Best Western stays, especially in the USA! We love them, but this not the usual...
Room Reservation:
We had requested main floor because one of us could not manage stairs and there is no elevator.
We were told when booking that we would have the main floor.
When we arrived, we were told they were sold out of the main floor rooms for a while.
The next day, a different person was working. We asked if there happened to be a cancellation to please save for us. This person said that 3 rooms were available and that it was no problem to change. So we changed immediately. It was quick, easy, and friendly.
Lobby is not available:
Second unusual incident. We asked if we could stay another night. They said they were completely full which was no problem because we had a room booked in another city however after we checked out of our room, before check out time, I asked if I could wait in their lobby area until my partner could return to pick me up.
The woman working at the front desk said the Manager Mark refuses to let anyone sit in their lobby after they've checked out. The woman referred to it as "hanging out" which we explained was not the intent it was only to wait for the return of my partner to pick me up. (Approximately one hour.)
I was then asked how far he was , and i replied 5 miles approximately. Then I was asked how long with hmmm and uh huh and sighs, which I replied I'm not too sure yet, but I would ask. I then asked how long was allowed so I can suggest to my partner. She continued to suggest that the manager refuses anyone to sit in their lobby after check out times.
This is the thing too...no suggestion where to go since the lobby is off limits, no offer if a cancellation came up for main floor or to extend our stay...no offer for late check out...nothing!
