The good reviews and most of the pictures are FAKE. There is no way this motel could ever get a good review.||The room was filthy, the floor tiles were coming up and detached from the floor, we had to wear our shoes in the room due to the floor being unclean and sticky. We did not feel safe, there were questionable druggy and homeless type people hanging around the hotel. I looked at three different rooms before finding one that we could tolerate, not like but tolerate. The first two rooms were not clean and had filthy bedspreads. ||I asked for a refund before checking in but the hotel clerk just showed us another room. When I asked for the refund, the motel clerk acted like she could not speak English and was very rude.||After looking at the first two rooms I was extremely embarrassed to have to tell my wife that I had booked us into this dump.||To call the McAlester hotel a dump would be giving it a huge compliment. It was filthy and unsafe. We could not wait to get out of there the next morning.||We will NEVER stay at another OYO hotel again. I have made it a point to tell all of our friends, family, and co-workers to stay away from OYO hotels.||The McAlester OYO hotel had a definite "Third World " feel. All we wanted was a clean safe place to spend the night. Staying at the McAlester, OK OYO hotel was a horrific experience for my wife and I. This hotel stay was extremely bad.

We were looking for an affordable place to spend the night and found this lovely hotel. I must say that we were really impressed from the first moment on. The lady there gave us a really warm welcome as we were arriving late at night. The room was lovely, clean and very friendly. We slept wonderful on that bed and left the next morning feeling wonderful. Thank you so much!

My experience at the Oyo hotel in McAlester, Oklahoma, was beyond disappointing. Despite ongoing renovations, the persistent bedbug infestation remains a serious issue. It's evident that the management's efforts are falling short, and drastic measures are needed.

In my opinion, this place needs, to be demolished and rebuilt. The fact that they continue to subject guests to such unacceptable conditions, even after renovations, is appalling.

I strongly urge potential guests to steer clear of this hotel until they can guarantee a bedbug-free environment. It's time for the management to take decisive action and ensure that their guests' safety and comfort are their top priorities.

Overall, my experience at Oyo McAlester Motel was nothing short of fantastic. From the welcoming atmosphere to the comfortable accommodations and attentive staff, every aspect of my stay exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this motel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in McAlester.

I have stayed at this motel several times a month for the past 3 years. I work in McAlester a few days a month. The place is a little dated but it is clean and is a great value for the price of around$40. However I have chosen not to stay at this location until things change. It is because of the new management. The manager is a nice lady I have a hard time understanding her sometimes but she has definitely kept the place clean and neat for its age, however my issue have nothing to do with cleanliness or personalities but with the increased rates that continue to increase. On average I could get a room for about $40 a night and would usually booked through a third party because I would get special promotions and incentives being that I am an avid traveler. I do know that some places prefer consistent guests like myself to not use the third party as it saves them money and thought nothing of it when the new manager asked for me to book directly through her.
I would let her know when I was in the area that evening and she always had a clean room for me but the rate keeps increasing over the past few months. It started with $40 then $45 then $50 and the last time I showed up there she tried to claim that the going rate is now $60 but settled to give me $50 because I am a consistent guest. This place is not worth that rate and I can stay other places in town for cheaper or that same price. Reading some of the recent comments about her trying to make third-party bookings pay more makes me wonder if there is some kind of scam being ran and she is pocketing some of this money. I'm not one to try and be a conspiracy theorist but not understanding why I am expected to pay $50 to $60 a night when supposedly you can book it through a third party for around or under $40. I always like staying at this place, yes there is a train that comes through in the middle of the night and that could probably be offensive to some people but I am a hard sleeper so it doesn't bother me. But for more than $40 a night, my money is better spent elsewhere. I have noticed that since this new manager has taken over business has dwindled And there is almost no one staying here anymore. Again this place is not worth more than $40 a night and if the rate continues to be above that I will stay elsewhere when I am in the area.

There was still food under the bottom sheet, we found a thong in the floor, there was still stuff in the drawers, and dirt in the bathroom floor.
