We had a wonderful two-day visit to write and work on business projects. Our plans were last minute, and we were not expecting that Oklahoma had mountains, actually high hills. We found a lovely winding river in those hills with the cutest cabins, fully decorated and stocked for a peaceful visit. We were welcomed by a nice young man who helped with information and bags. An added bonus was the 4 Star Restaurant 1 mile down the road. We went both days, and it did not disappoint. We will be back to play in the river and have marshmallows by the fire pit. P.S. Poppi the Boxer is also part of the welcoming committee; he sleeps outside your door as campus security at night.

One of my favorite places to get away and breathe, watch the stars, listen to the water flowing, and be in nature. Highly recommend. And they have exciting things in the works! I had an opportunity to talk with the owner … very cool things happening at River Bird!

This place is just breathtakingly beautiful and quiet, especially when the water in the steam is up and running. It is a great place to get away with friends and family to decompress and unwind. The cabins are very nice and clean. The owners are very nice and accommodating. We first found this place in 2019, and we have come back every year since.

My husband and myself checked in about 345 on a Friday greeted by Coach who lives on property advising if need anything to let him know then left us to our privacy, we unloaded fridge/freezer items, then took short less than 5minute drive to The Ranch restaurant that opened at 4pm arrived 403pm without reservation seated promptly only 1 couple there before us another couple after us great streaks and service enough food had leftovers cool entry building scenery. Went back unpacked then walked nicely maintained trail to kayaks/gravel bar dog "Poppy" accompanied, we were able to kayak as far as we could and back without having to get out taking our time easy kayaking beautiful scenery not one other person seen put up kayaks and trail back to cabin before dark then started campfire (really nice fire pit with plenty kindling and firewood and Poppy stayed with us which I liked in case of wildlife-none thankfully just couple of owners cats). Slept good in nice clean pretty cabin with deck on front overlooking lawn firepit river-we saw 4 deer at the river and numerous hummingbirds as there are feeders along upstairs deck. Next morning breakfast in cabin then kayaked again back to cabin charcoal burgers & hot dogs on the grill then just enjoyed sitting on deck looking at the view. Coach and Poppy were great and friendly cats. Private and would be great gathering place for 12+ people. I forgot to sign guestbook-feel free to add Mr and Mrs David Sargeant OKC

The pictures do not do it justice. My wife and I went down as a last minute weekend getaway. We stayed in the Mockingbird room we were so impressed. They do have a few dogs and cats there that love attention. So be ready to give some pets to them. The family that runs the place is super nice and will make sure your stay is amazing. 100% will go back.

The room was great.. good thing my husband is a professional for a living, he fixed the coffee pot, and the microwave... But was unable to fix the water pressure the day we were leaving, we all had to ride 3 1/2 hours home with out a shower, very unpleasant.. the owners were around when we didn't need them, but nowhere around when we did! Otherwise the scenery was beautiful!!!!

PREFECT for a weekend getaway. The room was very clean, SO cute, and completely accommodating for a last minute trip. The property, view, and walking trail were all beautiful, and the owners and pets were all friendly. My husband and I are already talking about going back next year!
