I spent an incredibly relaxing week at the Cherry Ridge Retreat Observatory Cabin. It is close to the popular Hocking Hills area, but I wasn’t tempted to leave the cabin at all.

The check-in process was easy and when I arrived at the beautiful cabin, everything was absolutely perfect.

After checking out the cabin (the stained glass window in the bathroom and the pool area were as incredible as they looked in their photos), I immediately turned on the house speakers and began my week of relaxation with a drink by the pool.

The hot tub and pool were clean and well maintained. It was a little chilly for early June, so the pool wasn’t quite warm enough to swim in for the first couple of days- but the hot tub more than made up for it. My husband was thrilled with the cold plunge and ended up spending almost more time in it than in the pool.

All the amenities we had at the cabin never left us wanting and we were able to enjoy every single part of our stay. My husband loved the grill on the patio so much he went out and bought the same one after we arrived home from our stay.

It really was a wonderful stay and the next time I need an escape, I’ll be thinking about the Observatory Cabin.

Our stay at Cherry Ridge was exactly what we wanted - so peaceful & relaxing! The cabin was clean and well stocked. The hot tub was awesome. We enjoyed sitting by the outside firepit both nights we stayed. This is the perfect place to enjoy nature and unplug. We look forward to our next visit!

What an amazing weekend. The accommodations were simply amazing. My wife and I stayed at the Still Waters Cabin in early April 2025. It was furnished with everything we needed for the weekend. All of the utensils, dishes, glasses were neatly organized upon arrival. The cabin was at a perfect at 70 degrees and was super clean. The linen was clean and well folded. Still Waters had a fireplace that could be viewed from the master bedroom or the living room. It was such a cozy weekend despite the non-stop rain. The hot tub was clean and at a perfect temp and location. The Weber grill was a nice touch on the quiet deck to grill up dinner. We will definitely be going back this fall.

Our stay at Cherry Ridge Retreat was wonderful! We spent a couple of nights after just getting married. The cabin was so comfortable and cozy. Extremely clean. Management was so attentive. There was a power outage due to storms in the area. They initiated contact with us to let us know when it was expected to be back on. Looking forward to returning again!

My wife and I came for a weekend retreat with our dog. We had an exceptional stay and were so impressed with the grounds. The Boat House was cozy and quiet and was stocked with everything we needed. The bed was very comfy, and the towel warmer in the bathroom was a nice touch. The sauna was awesome, and the dock next to the pond was beautiful. The trails were well marked, and our dog loved them. I would highly recommend staying here, and we will definitely be back soon.

My little family and I loved our 3 night retreat at Cherry Ridge. We enjoyed the serene time, tucked away in the beautiful woods of Hocking Hills,OH. We were lucky to get snowfall which made our stay just about as beautiful as it could have possibly been. We packed lots of food and made good use of the fully equipped kitchen. Having a couples massage and spending time in the hot tub were a couple of our favorite features. Our 18 month old daughter loved watching the fireplace, and stayed in the upstairs room at Water’s Edge, while my husband and I were in the 1st floor bedroom. The charcuterie box was also A+! I highly recommend getting away here! And while you're here, get out to see the gorgeous sites of Ash Cave and Cedar Falls!

We have been coming down Hocking Hills region for years and always enjoy it. Cherry Ridge took it to a different level as far as our experience. The cabin was immaculate, organized, and gorgeous. Communication was very good. It was easily best we’ve experienced so far and will be returning for future trips!

My wife and I had an incredible stay at Ravines Edge. This was our 4th stay at Cherry Ridge Retreat and look forward to our next stay. Ravines edge is absolutely beautiful, we loved the beautiful shower and took advantage of the hot tub with the outdoor TV. Every night we watched the deer playing along the ravine, it was so peaceful. We highly recommend Cherry Ridge Retreat. Chad & Jessica Dulebohn.
