I read reviews after picking this location to eat at. We were not disappointed! Though the food was all to our taste, it was good! Some seemed over cooked, some was new to our taste buds, and some we just had to mix n match to make it better.
Service was 100%
Dessert was so worth it! Never had pineapple cobbler before ?

Most of the food had NO SEASONING and almost no taste... even the rolls and cornbread. ‍♀️ The cabbage was under cooked, and again, had no flavor. The fried Green tomatoes were good (after I squeezed them between napkins to remove some of the grease), as were the chicken livers after adding salt and pepper. My husband was very pleased with the fried chicken and the peach cobbler, and the salad was fresh. The waitress was very attentive to our needs. ?

My husband and I love M&J's. The people are so nice there. I am a picky eater and can find all kinds of stuff there to eat. I even tried pineapple cobbler (I had never had or heard of) and I absolutely love it.

Not sure how the chicken joints around there stay in business. *M&J's fried chicken was the best I have tasted that wasn't straight from a grannies kitchen in a very long time !
*Beef tips and mashed potatoes were excellent. I could TASTE the food and not just seasoning. It was also absolutely TENDER.
*The Macaroni (cold) Salad was seasoned perfectly and the noodles were cooked perfectly.

Arrived at a peak time, The cast register right next to the entrance door, where the cashier crowds of people lacks space, afew feet away is the food buffet&salad bar had to move around people in your face beathing mask keeping distance between, prepare my food to go quick away from crowds hotel vistors, gave $5 to help improve America's Road way, food is delicious, price reasonable around $13.

Finally a place that advertises on their sign "Home Cooking" AND DELIVERS! Everyone had been nice. I seems there is one waitress that is running around; with that said she is fantastic. We haven't had to go look for her... she's always been around to ask if we need anything. Super gal! The food, what can I say. I didn't need to salt anything except the brussel sprouts (those always need more salt...lol); everything was seasoned well. And all for... wait for it...$28, the price is right so leave a big tip! ? I'll leave a picture of the buffet because the meal is gone...lol. Really ya'll if you're in Oxford, AL you've gotta stop here. You won't be disappointed.
