This was our first time staying at a Bed & Breakfast and boy did our hosts set the bar high! Christine and Frank were wonderful! We had such a great experience. Frank has so much knowledge about the area, and beyond! And Christine has chosen the most beautiful furniture and accessories to decorate. Breakfast was delicious both days. We are already looking forward to coming back for a stay during the holidays!!

We loved our 4th of July weekend stay with Christine and Frank at their lovely B&B. The 1823 Inn is historic and is decorated harming with period antiques. We were 2 couples and stayed in the upstairs bedrooms with private bath access for both and a nice sitting room that we played cards one night. Delicious breakfasts was served every morning, heavenly! This B & B is a nice central location to make short trips to cute towns -Tecumseh, Adrian, Sylvania, Perrysburg, & also Toledo. Another lovely place in close proximity is W.J. Hayes State Park, which has a beach. Frank and Christine are wonderful hosts

My boyfriend booked this B & B as part of a romantic winter get-away to partake in the Murder Mystery Train ride. Privately, I had my concerns over this choice (per the other reviews and pictures) but I was relieved and pleasantly surprised with the accommodations and the experience. We are "young" 50 year old couple (and I like my high end hotels with perks) but I liked this small town ambiance and B & B. It's much nicer than the picture - except the bathroom - that needs a do-over but it's clean and working and acceptable. I wouldn't want to stay here for a week - but it's fine for a few nights (and in our case - one night). Both the room temperature and water temperature was HOT - we closed our heater vents in our room to increase our sleeping comfort. The breakfast was fine - fruits were delicious - and the owner could not have been more kind and accommodating. IF you are looking for overnight accommodations in Blissfield for the murder mystery train ride - this is a nice clean place. Don't be scared. Adrian is the closest town for chain hotels.

Frank was warm and welcoming and our room was just right. The SO liked the pillows better than I have at my home. Great breakfast with other guests. Hope Christine is there next time, too: my SO will also enjoy meeting her.

We stayed at the H D Ellis Inn for the night after going on the Blissfield dinner mystery train. The room and ajoining bathroom were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, fresh fruit, hot egg, cheese, sausage strata, with bagels or english muffins. The Kuerig gave options for hot tea or coffee. I had no trouble making reservations. I left a message and my call was returned later that evening. Overall, friendly relaxing place to stay.

This was the best Bed and Breakfast I have ever stayed in. Each room has its own bathroom and the shower was awesome. The bed was extremely comfortable. The couple that run this Bed & Breakfast were very nice and served us an incredible breakfast. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a Bed and Breakfast in Blissfield Michigan.
