The food here is great. The waitstaff were nice. The atmosphere is pleasant and peaceful. Everything was clean and neat. I had the corned beef hash with Cajun potatoes and my husband had the chicken salad sandwich with the Cajun potatoes.I recommend this place and I’ll be back ( for the fourth time😂). Be sure and get the drink of the the day made by Kim. Thank me later❤️

It's breakfast time again, and Grumpy's is at the top of everyone's list. I decided to find out why. My mother and I decided to give it a try.

The first thing I noticed was the extensive gluten-free options. My wife is GF, and I could appreciate it on her behalf.

I ordered the corned beef hash with a side biscuit and gravy. What I can say is I'm impressed it was made from real corned beef, and it was not mush from a can. That being said, it was a little too dry for my liking. It was also very simple, just corned beef and potatoes. Nothing exciting or groundbreaking. The biscuit and gravy were also good, but nothing to give accolades about. Definitely not the best in town as some people have described.

My mother got a French toast breakfast. As you can see from the pictures, it's just a French toast breakfast. Good, but exactly what you would expect. The sausage was a little overcooked and hard, but some restaurants don't know about the steam method. Perhaps it's done by choice.

Overall, it was a nice breakfast. I'd come back again, but then again, we liked Lucky's better.

We stopped in to Grumpy's for breakfast on our way out from visiting Cleveland. The location is nice with on-site parking, which is easy and convenient for diners. The decor is fun to look at with lots of artwork available for purchase on the walls. The service was fast, efficient, and friendly. The food was hot and tasty. I ordered the Sausage Gravy Benedict, and my wife ordered the breakfast burrito, and we were both satisfied and ready for our drive home.

First time visiting Grumpy's and the first thing I was happy about is there is parking available. We were greeted upon entering and seated immediately. Our server was nice and friendly throughout. I ordered the steak and eggs, which isn't on the menu regularly. I appreciated the ability to get it. My husband got the Grumpy's special with the buttermilk pancakes. Overall everything was good, the portion sizes were perfect. I would definitely visit again. We also loved the artwork on the walls for sale.

Finally got to come here which I read is one of the top 5 breakfast restaurants in Cleveland and I'm happy to say that it did not disappoint. We came at 10 am on a Friday when there is supposed to be a wait but there wasn't. Even though the building is old, the places to sit are newer and very comfortable and we loved all the local art displayed inside. Our waitress was very prompt and friendly. The food came out quickly and everything was delicious, especially the Carminator, wow! Definitely recommend that one. Prices are higher than a chain breakfast restaurant like IHOP, but definitely cheaper than Lucky's around the corner. Can't wait to come back!

The prices are terrible, and the food is mediocre - a toasted English muffin or coffee were each over $3. The "Cajun Home Fries" were not the least bit crispy, fairly bland, and not even hot.

All the meals we had were at least $14 each before tax & tip (without a drink), and none were good enough to be worth what they charge.

I got the Reuben and not only did the corned beef taste a little "off" (like it was about a day too old) it somehow managed to seem dry, rather than tender & juicy, despite the fact that it was dripping grease (you can see some grease drops on the sauce which came on the side). There wasn't even enough sourkraut to be able to taste it, and they were a little skimpy on the cheese.

My daughter's friend had the Jambalaya and said the only thing good about it was the sausage.

The place was packed, so, I was really surprised the food wasn't a lot better 🤷🏼‍♂️

I was captivated by the vibrant artwork of the local artist, each piece brimming with life and creativity, begging to be taken home. However, my breakfast was a letdown—the French toast arrived overly soggy, lacking the golden crispiness I had hoped for. The omelet, while fluffy, fell short on flavor, and the Cajun fries, though seasoned, didn’t deliver the satisfying crunch one desires. It was a mix of artistic beauty and culinary disappointment.
