Stopped by Frisch’s Big Boy on a road trip through Ohio and left with a belly full of greatness and a newfound respect for burger history. This place isn’t just slinging burgers — it’s preserving a legacy. The Big Boy burger? It’s like the Big Mac’s cooler, older brother who never sold out. Juicy patties, crisp lettuce, special sauce that actually tastes special — it’s everything McDonald’s wishes it could be.

You can taste the difference: the buns aren’t squished, the meat has flavor, and the vibe screams retro Americana in the best way possible. It’s like biting into the 1950s, minus the Cold War paranoia.

The cherry on top? They didn’t skimp on the fries either — golden, crispy, and seasoned with the tears of McDonald’s chefs realizing they’ve been beat.

This place is a national treasure. Protect it at all costs. Big Boy walked so the Big Mac could run (straight into mediocrity).

These waffle fries were fantastic. The super big boy was just fine. I may have overdone it by getting the super. I should have probably stuck with the regular big boy.

I was very impressed with the cleanliness and service. The head chef ran that kitchen like Gordon Ramsey and got the food out fast, hot and seasoned just right. The food was absolutely delicious and hot!

A quiet place enen thiugh half full of doners and no loud music playing in the background.

A historic place 75 yrs I think, right near the canal at Canal and Granger. If you are hunting for the driveway look for the bikeway bridge and the Big Boy statue.

Going on a Sunday morning. The food is pretty cool. The service was decent but not anything special. It is definitely an older crowd not only customers but staff which I'm not against or anything. Our waitress actually brought us the wrong food and since she was a little older we didn't want to make a big deal of it or it embarrass her or anything like that so we just accepted it but then she was "upset" That we got more food for the same amount of money (We ordered three pancakes but received one waffle 🙄). She mentioned this multiple times throughout our meal and at the end while bringing our check, But it was fine... Are things considered? The waffle was pretty good. The rest of our food was pretty good. We ordered some sort of milkshake strawberry crunch I believe... It was not that great.

The food was excellent except for my underdone eggs. The big boy sauce was exactly as remembered for many moons ago and I even bought a bottle for home. My country fried steak that hash browns were perfect. Eggs were over easy I don't like runny whites but that was the only issue. Our server, Tina, was exceptional. The first person to ask if we wanted a table due to mom's use of a walker. That started things on the right foot and she just continued in that manner. Kudos.

Went to this very wonderful restaurant for breakfast yesterday morning (12/23). We got seated to our table five minutes faster. When we were asked about what we wanted for breakfast with regards to food and drink, the server was kind, professional, loyal, and caring. Staff wasted no time at all making our breakfast meal. Service here is nothing short of loyal, and nothing short of wonderful. Chocolate milk drink was delivered to me and it tasted very marvelous. Cookies & cream pancakes and sausage links were delivered to me next. It's very wonderful that we were provided with the most excellent service that this staff offers. And the Cookies & cream pancakes were fantastic, especially the whipped cream and Oreos that were on top of them. And as for the sausage links, they were spectacular and superb in every way. In fact, the overall breakfast meal was absolutely fantastic. Marvelous. Awesome. It is my total pleasure to thank the wonderful, kind-hearted staff for their kind-hearted service.

We always stop at Big Boy when we get the chance. This stop was not a disappointment. We ordered breakfast which was delicious, coffee was flowing, and they were happily able to accommodate dietary restrictions. We can't wait to go back!

Hash browns were just right, nice and crispy!! I had the Country fried steak was a perfect choice. Also let me the waitress was super polite.
