Grace the manager is a saint? She would do anything for her customers.
The rooms are nice. The rooms are clean. They take care of the property. I would recommend anybody staying here, and also Tammie the director of sales did a amazing job accommodating long term stays for my company .

We traveled here for a Cleveland Clinic appointment and had to arrive early. The staff was very accommodating in letting us in early. They were very knowledgeable of the area and helped with all needs. Would highly recommend staying here again!

This was the most awful hotel experience I have ever had. We chose to stay here while traveling through Cleveland and we heard Independence was a safe place to stay. The guest above us has been screaming all night and stomping around above us. Saw a raccoon running through the hallways. Walls stained with drops of something - not sure what. Noisy HVAC, musty smell in rooms. This was truly disgusting and the owners and management company of this hotel should be ashamed. Do not waste your money. Go someplace else.

A great place to stay if you have an extended series of appointments at Cleveland Clinic. The hotel is only about 20 minutes from the main hospital campus and similar travel times to several other satellite campuses. The two bedroom suites are awesome for traveling with children or someone who just needs more privacy. The rooms are starting to show their age, but this is our primary lodging choice in Cleveland. The hotel is also close to restaurants, shopping, and other amenities.

The shower wasn't clean. The wall mounted body wash was missing, just a cracked bracket. Towels are small, scratchy. Bathroom is so tiny you must step into the shower to close the door. Worst part? All night party upstairs. Cops came twice, we got no sleep, and the desk staff just shrugged, like, "what do you want me to do?" NOT Marriott standards at all.

I'm giving a fair 3 star on the room and service for the following reasons: The shampoo and body wash bottles were completely empty. How did it get that low and not be noticed? I requested them to be replenished and they were; however, I was puzzled as to why housekeeping did not do the rest of the service. Instead, one soiled face cloth was missing, the bath mat was folded and placed on the shower door handle, and the trash was taken out. That's it. The bed wasn't made and no towels were refreshed. I went to the front desk and asked the young woman what was typically done by housekeeping. The response was "I don't know, I'm only the front desk person." Cleanliness was fair, a few dead house flies in the window sills and a fair amount of dust on the popcorn ceiling from the nearby AC vent. The plus was that it was rather quiet, except for the dumpster pick up at 4:30 a.m. on two mornings (Wed/Fri) next to building 13.
