This place is super nice. It’s clean. It’s reasonably priced and they’re always very helpful in an accommodating your needs…. Plus, they allow pets and they don’t charge you an arm and a leg for a pet. They are free here which makes this one of the best hotels that I’ve seen in independence… this red roof, the people at the front desk the cleaning crew your rooms are always nice clean. The people at the front desk are always very friendly and are able to accommodate people with special needs. It’s a quiet hotel no big parties or anything like that that you get at some of the other hotels. Would recommend this hotel to everyone

Cockroaches. Front desk guy was super nice and worked with my credit card company to refund me.

On the other hand, there was a prostitute there waiting for a room. A few cars outside with tinted windows doing some sort of drugs and two cop cars pulled in, blocked my car in and seemed like they were looking for someone specifically. Cockroach in the room. Negative stars for the experience overall.

Positive: The location. Negative: No! Microwave! The heat never got hot even after I turned it up to 80 There was a major draft around the door, abd temperature outside was 17 When I fushed the toilet it leaked water on the floor from around the base. The refrigerator also licked water.

Had the unfortunate opportunity to stay here for one night. Several amenities were missing
Such as no Kleenex, no clock, and the shampoo bottle installed on the wall of the shower didn't dispense any shampoo. Also, there was wet ice alla along the walkways
Definitely a fall hazard.

This trip up to Ohio and our stay here. Was a let down we would stay here everytime we visit family. Because it was clean and was close to restraunts and family. Last time here was 4yrs ago dont know what happened since then. The room that was given was dirty had stains on the door like a cup was thrown at it. Bathroom door had shit spots on it as if some started before sitting down. Lay down on the bed roll on my side big boogers on the wall . That was the tipping point called front desk night manager said give him ten minutes. He'd look for another room. I walk down dudes sitting in lobby on his phone. I told him we paid over 800.00 for a week need a cleen room not laying anybody elses shit and wasting my hard earn money. That you needed to fire those people just show up and do just enoungh to collect a check. He found some other rooms. That I could look at two of the three were the same as the one given. Told day manager and he was helpfull and had the cleaning help and himself go look at it first hand. Atleast something might be done about it now.

If I could give this place a negative 10 star I would. Staff is so unhelpful, when you ask for help they would rather take the phone calls coming in rather than asking the person to hold. I understand that this is a 2 star hotel and you can’t expect the same service as a 5 star hotel, but these people have no manners. They know how not to make you feel welcomed. Smells weird, even the lobby smells weird. Overall the absolute worst customer service I have ever received in person and via phone.

Rob is amazing. Got us a great room for a great price. Very helpful, polite, and explained everything. Made us feel very welcome, the room is up to par and nicely clean. I recommend this to anyone

Positive: The staff was so understanding, helpful, caring, and accommodating. Negative: The uneasiness of the police patrolling being so heavy. That makes it seem like there's something unsafe going on here, that their watching out for which is a little unsettling.
