I was super excited to find this place!! I haven’t had authentic German cuisine in a while. I can’t wait to go back and try the lunch and dinner items.

This visit was for breakfast and everything we ordered was delicious! The French toast was perfect. The farmer’s breakfast scramble was just right. The flavors melted together and made for a great treat. Superb job!

Excellent food, service and atmosphere! I ordered the Sampler Platter that came with 2 sides. My sides were the Northern and the Southern potato salads. I enjoyed both and they are distinctly different. I think that I prefer the Northern type, but I'm sure that I'll need to compare them several more times. The meats consisted of a Curry Sausage, Meatloaf, Bratwurst, Gyro meat and Chicken. My favorites were the Curry Sausage and the Gyro meat. Next time, I'm going to try the Jaeger Schnitzel with different sides. If you like good food, and you're hankering for some delicious German fare, this is the place to go! I'm so happy that this fine restaurant is so close to home.

We enjoyed a brunch at Rolf’s on a Sunday morning. It is a small, cozy restaurant with delicious German brunch, lunch, and dinner. The waitstaff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Even Rolf came out and visited with us! We got the Lemon Waffle, Curry Sausage, and the Farmers Breakfast with cheese added to top. Farmers Breakfast included potatoes, cheese, eggs, and bratwurst sausage, all piping hot in a cast iron skillet. The bratwurst was delicious! Rolf makes all the restaurant’s sausages, breads, and cakes from scratch. The food was delicious and we will be back to try more! As of June 2024, they told us a new menu is about to come out so we look forward to checking out later.

Let me just say I am very picky when it comes to my food and clean ingredients are important! I am by no means a meat eater and I have nothing against those who choose to eat it .I must say this is the first German restaurant in Tuscaloosa and it’s very Vegan / vegetarian friendly freshly home made daily !!! Some of the must tries top tiers Red Cabbage, veggie panini, Sauerkraut, mushroom sandwich !! They truly live up to their flavor and Slogan you come in a customer and live a friend !!!!

Wonderful German deli located in Temerson Square in downtown Tuscaloosa (1 block behind University Blvd.). Personable owner and staff. Multiple options for food that is freshly made while you wait. German sausage and favorites along with some American deli options. Also a large assortment of German wine and beer. Very reasonably priced. Will visit again!
I have provided some pictures taken 8-1-2024 to give you an idea of inside and of a Club sandwich and the choices of beer and wine (this is not all the choices).

In town on business and super excited that I was able to walk to a German restaurant, However, it was maybe not a good idea to go between the lunch and dinner serving, even though they were open. The schnitzel sandwich was OK and the cottage potatoes felt like lunch leftovers. I probably would not have posted if not for the “host”, also pictured, who smoked cigarettes out front with his 3 inch scabs. Because the waitress was chatting up her only other table, I had to call the restaurant and ask for my food to go. In spite of the above, I paid full price and tipped 20%, even though the waitress knew precisely why I had lost my appetite. So disappointed.

Super excited to have this downtown. The atmosphere was very homey, and Rolf was so friendly. I had the lunch bratwurst with sauerkraut as well as the mozzerella pepperoni pretzel with beer cheese on the side. No picture of Bratwurst because it Was gone ans soon ans it hit the table. There’s other options on the menu for the picky eaters.Everything was delicious and fresh. Will be coming back!
