I stopped with my dog, without a reservation and the gentleman at the front desk quickly checked us in. The room was modern and the linens were immaculate. The dog walking area was stocked with waste bags and it appeared most people had cleaned up after their dogs. It has a great location, near a lot of good (not fast food) restaurants: soul food, Mexican, American pub, and an excellent Nepalese/Indian restaurant called Mantra.

Stopped for a night on a road trip. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and in great shape. The bed was comfortable, and we had a great night's sleep. While it seemed like there were not many guests staying at the time we were there, it was very quiet, and we never heard a sound. The breakfast they offer was tasty and gives you several options to get your day started.

We called the front desk directly to check rates and availability. We informed the manager that we had a small dog and was told the charge would be $25.00. So we booked a room. When we checked in the next day, the manager said they charge a $50 deposit for the dog. He said this deposit would be returned if the room was okay after we check out. I agreed, because we’ve experienced similar policies with other hotels and rentals. |The manager gave us our card keys and we went to the room. The room had a bit of bad odor, but we were tired and just wanted to get to sleep. We checked out the next morning and requested a receipt from the front desk which showed a $75.00 charge for the dog. I didn’t question it because I figured it included the $50.00 deposit for the dog that I would eventually get back after they confirmed no mess or damage from our dog. It’s now three weeks later and I still haven’t received the $50 refund. So, I called the manager to inquire about getting my $50.00 back. The manager promptly told me the dog fee is always $75.00, which is the standard fee for all Hampton Inns. He basically said it’s a fixed rate and he’s not giving me the $50.00 back. On this particular trip I drove from Rhode Island to Los Angeles and back to Rhode Island. I stayed at 12 different hotels, which included other Hampton Inn hotels. The pet fees at those hotels ranged from $15 to $40 and all included some type of deposit that was promptly refunded after checking out. The only exception is the Hampton Inn- Youngstown-North. I strongly do not recommend this hotel. I believe the manager was completely dishonest regarding the pet fee.

Positive: The location is great and the rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was really good. The spread and quality were both better than similar properties I have stayed at. Negative: ""

Always been able to hold trust in utilizing Hampton's while traveling for work. This hotel was clean as expected, comfortable rooms, but was disappointed in how loud the doors slam when closing in all the rooms. Extremely loud closing, and often shook the room, making for two different nights of sleep.

If it wasn't for the slamming of doors when closing, I would highly recommend this hotel.

This is a very clean hotel with very friendly staff that went out of there to ensure we had a great stay. This location was able to accommodate our group of two full buses for check in and during the breakfast buffet. The room was spacious with thoughtful design which included lots of shelf space in the washroom along with additional storage on pull out shelves on either side of the sink. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet had lots of options ranging from waffles to a variety of fruit. This location had a variety of breads/bagles, juices, along with dark, regular roast, and decaf coffee. The fitness centre had free weights, yoga mats, and updated treadmills and elliptical. The indoor pool was a welcome oasis for kids. The wifi worked well for our family with many devices accessing at the same time. The only issues we had was a broken water dispenser on the fitness center. Be aware that the hotel only offers towels/cleaning every second day of your stay. We had to pick up additional towels from the main desk and to take excess garbage to the large waste at the front of the building. Overall great hotel with lots of amenities

The bed was horrible. I asked to move rooms, but they were sold out. Unfortunately, you can't get a refund and leave. Management said the bed was just a lowrise bed, so that's why they are uncomfortable, but I'm a diamond member and have stayed at hundreds of Hamptons and never had such a cheap mattress. You could feel every spring in the bed, and it was noisy even. I will never stay here again
