This was our first time to Culp’s and it won’t be our last! Excellent food selection and ambience. We ordered the chicken and waffles, salad, and soup, and want to come back for the old-fashioned soda fountain experience next time. We had spent the morning in Carillon Park and just wanted something easy for lunch. We were very pleasantly surprised!

I cannot rate this any higher! From the moment we stepped into this place, it takes you back to simpler times. Our waiter Dean was incredible and honestly one of the most chilled and happy guys I've ever had. He had the most relaxed and calm demeanour and he served so excellently, he definitely is a great asset to your team and deserves some attention and praise for his professionalism 👏

Now going into the most important section, THE FOOD. Goodness me it was so so good. A simple classic menu with fresh ingredients and cooked effortlessly, if you want delicious food as well as quality service, this place is it!

Not to mention how reasonable the pricing is, it's so well priced and you're actually paying really good low prices for such great food and attentive service. I only review the best places and this place gets my vote for the most underrated place in the whole of Dayton area. This definitely deserves more hype and attention. Please pay this amazing Cafe and of course the historical museum of Dayton a visit! A literal step back in time and a rare diamond among cafes. ✨️

The food was amazing, the service was fantastic and friendly, and the ambience of eating in 125 year-old street car was unique to say the least. Highly recommend eating here during your visit to Carillon Historical Park.

The milkshake was very freezer burnt, would not recommend. The food otherwise was decent, I really liked the fries. The atmosphere is really what you're paying for, it was very cool and gave me Sims 4 vibes. The crowd was older on the Friday we went. Staff were great.

Amazing atmosphere and vibe! great food with classic favorites and they even have a soda bar. Chill 2 soft swing music and enjoy an amazing milkshake. You can enter the café without visiting the museum or do both and make a day of it.

This would be an amazing place to start a restaurant. Our experience was d.o.a took an hour for almost everything to be cold and wife had to get her own coffee refills lol. Should of left when we came in and only seen maybe 2 other tables. Hopefully new management turns this place around because the location is super cool

Oh my goodness this is a MUST TRY!! I wanted to try this place out so I brought my Pawpaw and we had an amazing time! The service was outstanding the food was delicious and we will definitely return… You have to order your food at the countertop and you will be handed a number to place on your table and once your food is finished it will be brought out to you wherever you decide to sit (the seating is your choice).. We wanted the experience to sit inside the train which i recommend.

Just went this morning and had the shrimp and grits special. It was delicious!! Husband and kid loved their meals as well.
It was a chilly where we sat (in the rail car).
