Moving our family from NH to Northern MN so was excited to find a pet friendly hotel with a pool along our route. I booked directly on the holiday Inn website. To say I was EXTREMELY disappointed my 18-month-old grandson was unable to swim in a pool that's been closed for months..... AND THAT WAS NOT COMMUNICATED at all during the booking process or I would have gone somewhere else... especially at the rate we paid.... the apathetic front desk person said this was the discounted rate (over $300 for two rooms)?!

No milk for cereal at the breakfast, pancake machine was not working and the eggs were awful.

It's been a long time since I've been this frustrated with a lodging experience. I can say I will likely skip IHG hotels going forwarded.

Our room was pretty clean, missing a TV and the coffee pot in the room didn't work... seems like they've still got some work to do.

I sure wish I'd have checked Google reviews instead of trusting the ones on the website.

We were welcomed by a helpful girl and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was usual fare, but the young man who worked there was so polite and busy keeping the tables clean and the food well stocked. All in all it was a good hotel.

I wasn't made aware that renovations would be going on during my stay. This was not a direct inconvenience - all I wanted was still available. Noise wasn't a factor from renovations but from a cleaning crew member playing music loudly - to his credit it was discontinued at my request. The carpet in my room wasn't completely clean - some crumbs - which the manager got onto immediately upon my mention. Breakfast had great variety offered in a clean dining area. Nice staff - much appreciated. I enjoyed my stay: slept, ate, used the internet, and bathed very well.

Loved the stay. The people were so good and very helpful. The place was clean, quiet and breakfast was good. All the staff was very helpful. My husband fell and broke his arm and dislocated his shoulder. They were very helpful to us during our stay. I can't say enough about the staff.

We arrived around 11 pm Christmas day. The first room we went to was dirty and not meant to be used. I believe it was still under renovation or something. there was a pull away bed and both regular beds were all unmade. The door was ajar. Went back to lobby to get a new room. The second room was a single king and we had a family of 4 staying. We finally got a third room that was correct. After we got our children un packed and settled we got ready for bed. My husband went to take a shower and it had no hot water. We let them know but didn't want to switch rooms to the 4th room because our children were already asleep. When my husband got up in morning to work before we left he tried to make coffee. The in room pot did not work. When we went down to explain in the morning all the issues the worker was not able to help us but was very polite. She asked that we wait until someone else came at 9:00 and they would be able to take care of us. Once he showed up he did make it right with us.

Positive: Nothing special Negative: Pool closed/not on website. Housekeeping never collected trash. Pizza boxes in hallway by elevator for more than 24 hours. There was very limited cold products for breakfast. No yogurts either day and no milk towards end of breakfast

The person at check in was pleasant but had assigned us a room that was not cleaned. In fact every other room on that floor had the doors lock propped open and I assume they were also dirty. We went back down and was then assigned a room upgrade. This room was ok but the light on the mirror didn’t work.

I normally wouldn’t write a review, but our room was so dirty that we looked at Google reviews to see if it was an anomaly (it wasn’t), and were shocked to see that a reviewer just one day prior had opted out of the very room we were in. Not only that, but it *still* hadn’t been cleaned or prepared for guests. Empty hand soap dispenser and empty tissue box still on the sink? Yes. Retail tags and a screw still on the not-vacuumed floor? Yes. Dead bugs on the window sill and broken electronic controller for the shade, preventing it from being raised? Also yes. They had not addressed any of those issues, nor had they wiped down surfaces which had crumbs and rings from beverages on them.

We kept the room because it was late and we were tired, and we were pleased to have an adjoining room for our kids. Their room smelled very strongly of marijuana, had a used food wrapper on the floor, and the shower curtain was hung backwards, with the waterproof layer on the outside.

The two rooms had clearly recently been renovated, but were inexplicably filthy. The bedding and towels looked clean, though.

On a positive note, the I-70 traffic noise made for excellent white noise as we slept (truly!), and the breakfast was lovely.
