My husband and I stay at the Garden Gate every chance we get. We started staying there shortly after Carol and Doug purchased the B&B. It was over Valentines Day weekend and Carol served us heart shaped pancakes. The entire breakfast was romantically themed, adorable and delicious. .Carol and Doug treat their guests as family and go above and beyond to be sure you have an enjoyable stay. The rooms are clean cozy and beautifully decorated, the food is delicious and the hospitality is amazing. We just spent New Year’s Eve with them and the stay was unforgettable. We will continue to stay there as often as we can and highly recommend it to all our family and friends. We Love Carol and Doug, you will too. Guaranteed !!!!

I purchased the Garden Gate suite for my boyfriends birthday and we had a wonderful stay! The room was perfect for the 2 of us, bed and pillows were super comfy and the jacuzzi was amazing. Carol and Doug are some of the nicest people! Our last night there the TV and fireplace stopped working and could not be fixed that day so they upgraded us to the cottage for our last night! We loved the cottage even more! We are actually planning on getting one for Valentines day. We can't wait to come back! We love the area too!

We spent two nights at this bed and breakfast and enjoyed our stay very much. Carol and Doug are wonderful hosts and helped us plan our route for the day to optimize our time in the are. We had the Garden Suite and the room was lovely. Breakfast was very good. If you were wanting anything, Carol and Doug were right there to provide it. In the evening we were welcome to join the family on the patio and some Amish neighbours dropped over. It was such a fun, lively discussion and we were welcome to ask questions about their lifestyle. Carol gave us good suggestions for things we wanted to do during the day and directed us to wonderful restaurants and bakeries. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

Me and my husband stayed at one of the rooms in Feb 2023, it’s the best b&b we have ever been too. The whole place is very cozy and welcoming. Carol and Doug are a sweetheart and they served us with yummy breakfast. I would highly recommend anyone going to Amish country should definitely stay at this place and enjoy their vacation to the fullest. Also the Berlin market is hardly 1-2 miles away.

My boyfriend and I stayed here last November ('21) and absolutely loved it!
We stayed in the beautiful Garden Gate Suite. The bed was comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was luxurious and relaxing. (The bath grains smell so good.)
Carol and Doug are the best hosts you could ever hope to meet. They treated us like family and we can't wait to go back!

We stayed in a cottage that was small and cozy. It is well kept and in an absolutely beautiful location. WiFi and satellite TV are provided. Carol Gardner, a local, is the current owner/manager. She helped us fine tune our list of places to visit and gave great recommendations. Prices are very reasonable.

If you are looking for a nice place where you relax and feel as though you are among friends, this just might be the place for you. We've stayed at fancier places. However, this is Amish Country. You expect down home comfort here, not five star resorts. And honestly, you'd be hard pressed to find nicer hosts. ||||It was a mini vacation for my birthday. Carol helped my husband make arrangements for some local wine and a very pretty floral arrangement. Carol and Doug were both involved in serving us breakfast and sat down with us to chat. We really appreciated Doug's kindness in helping get the snow off of our vehicle before we left. ||||While we were there, we stayed in one of the suites which had a queen bed, a tub/shower combo and a sitting room with two recliners and a wet bar and mini fridge. We couldn't resist peeking in the cottages before we left. Both are neat. We'd love to come back during warmer weather and try one out.

Had a wonderful stay. Carol was so welcoming and the breakfast in the morning was the best ever. My husband and I enjoyed sitting in the garden. It was beautiful and relaxing.

Edit. Have been back. Our last visit was in June, for our Anniversary. We came back this past weekend for Valentine's Day. (Yes, early but we celebrate when we can.) Carol and Doug were just as welcoming as the last time. We had a wonderful time visiting with the other guests, talking with our hosts, and visiting the local sites. As last time, the breakfasts were to die for. I didn't take pictures the first morning, but the second days breakfast is posted below. Fruit kabobs drizzled with chocolate, Amish smoked ham, egg and potato casserole, followed by chocolate pancakes covered with Strawberries. We are going to be going back again in a few months for our Anniversary.
