Very cute property. We got there Fri afternoon (2 nights), checked in, put bag in Shenandoah cabin, looked great. Came back after wedding rehearsal/dinner and NO LIGHTS at the cabin or steps. Went to office/ store for help. The clerk checked the fuse box behind cabin, did not get lights on the stairs, about 20 steps, or cabin. She called owner, he could not help and never showed up to HELP. Finally, about ONE hour she got cabin lights on. In morning we were OK, Still no lights on stairs LONG way up to cabin. Unresponsive owner manage. Would not stay if FREE. POOR management.

My husband & I had an opportunity to stay at Tappan Lakeside Resort. We stayed in the Sequoia Cabin. It was perfect for us!!!
There is an activity center that had an air hockey table, arcade games, pinball & a pool table. There is a refrigerator,
washer & dryer (coin operated). There is also seating for approximately 24 guests. Attached to the Activity Center are restrooms with showers. They were very nice!!

A playground is available for kids, a basketball hoop, a communional fire pit and a giant wooden swing.
Beyond the activity center was the General Store. I was impressed by the variety of food, snacks, drinks, items needed for fishing & even ice cream!!

The resort was only 1.5 hours away from Cleveland & fairly easily to locate.
The view of the lake was beautiful!

We will definitely be back again!

Vacationing at Tappan Lakeside Resort. Had an excellent time. Cabin was nice and recreation center and store was great. Close to both New Philadelphia and Cadiz Ohio for restaurants and shopping.Definitely would stay again and recommend to anyone looking for a good plan to stay by the lake.

I can't really rate this place as I haven't stayed here. I drove past this location for 5 years in 2010s. Seeing what they did with the spot and it's location...wow. they look amazing and it's a beautiful spot in the middle of nowhere in Ohio.

Decided to take my husband on a over night trip as he works a lot (EMS/Fire). They offer military discounts but not first responders. The lady I booked with was so nice. I believe her name was Connie she walked me through everything. I have to say the owners thought of everything in their resort. We went with the A frame cabin watch was all we needed. I loved that they had a (clean) out house close by. As for the other bathhouse, it was only a short walk away and was so clean. The store also a short walk away had every thing needed and the food was so good. On-site was a (community fire pit swing pool table and arcade games. The cabin, even had a little welcoming sign with our names watch took me by surprise. I loved all the extra time and though the owners put into this resort and only 45 mins away from us. My only complaint I would have to say is the bed and pillow. Not the most comfortable I had. And I wish they allowed more 1 night stays in the summer. Definitely will stay again.

This is the perfect getaway!
Everything was super clean!
It was nice to have kitchen tools, utensils, paper towels, etc.
We stayed in Joshua Tree which was equipped with a shower, toilet, and sink.
The only suggestion I would have is a better assortment of pillows, if you are a pillow snob like me, all of the pillows are rock hard, super uncomfortable and we actually went and bought our own at Walmart so we could sleep more comfortable the 2nd night.
Everything else gets an A++!!

Main bed was really comfortable and so were the pillows. This came to a nice surprise as most cabins I’ve found aren’t that comfortable…this was the highlight of this “resort”.||The beds in the loft were super uncomfortable. No manager is available in the evenings and lakeside store were rude. We needed assistance with fire pit and the coin machine and pop machine both took money. ||The overall look of the resort is nice looking.

The cabin was so cozy! Absolutely perfect! We just loved waking up in the morning and having our coffee out on the porch! ☕ 🌞 So relaxing 😌 Nobody bothered us which was awesome! Thank you for an awesome vacation!
