The Dirty Motel from Hell!

On 7/16/22 I checked out of the Key Inn motel within 15 minutes because the refrigerator had food in it, the sheets and blankets were dirty and the light was flickering in the bathroom. Upon checking out the girl at the front desk told me that I will be refunded for my 2 night stay. A couple of days later after finally being able to reach them on the phone the manager told me that I will get a refund but it is now almost a year later and I never got my refund. I made several attempts to call but no one really helped me and it was very difficult to reach someone on the phone. The part that hurts is that they charged me 2 nights when in fact I checked out within 15 minutes. I can understand 1 night not being refundable but unfortunately they charged me for 2 nights.

I have tried going to the Better Business Bureau but Key Inn completed ignored the letters mailed by BBB by never responding to them.

I have never seen managers completely ignore your concerns and lie to you about getting a refund.

Zero stars for cleanliness and customer service!

If it were not super late at night and we had another option we would have went with it and would NOT have stayed here. Our room we reserved was a queen bed suite and the one we were placed in was a two bed, not a problem, but the lady upfront was extremely rude about it and it was NOTHING like the pictures online. The beds did not have blankets and only one pillow each with NO pillow case. The bathroom came with no towels and when we went to get two, again we got more attitude and was only handed one as they said they had no additional towels. The microwave was absolutely disgusting and the bathroom looked like it had yet to be cleaned since the last people who stayed there. They did not give you a key card as it "was not working". I definitely do NOT recommend. There are sketchy people walking around the hotel all night. I am unsure how this hotel is still allowed to be open.

The room smelled like smoke. The door were kicked in before. Had a tv but no remote. No towels. Called down, waited two hrs before I decided to go get it myself. Shower head were off the pipe, had to screw it in myself. Maintenance man was banging on stuff all night. Kids above me was running around the room all night. To top it all off the sink stopper was stuck. This is a horrible place. The owners should be ashamed of themselves.

I had to wait almost an hour to get into my room. I was told the machine was down to make key cards and they would have to unlock the door for me with a key. I get in the room. No remote, no top sheet, no blanket and only 1 towel. I called the front desk and told them what I needed. She brought me a remote that was taped together, a very thin blanket and 1 more towel. The room smelled very strong of room deodorizer. I found a sock behind the bed that had been there for awhile. There was only 1 small garbage can. Luckily there was a Walmart close by so I could get a blanket and sheet. I have attached pictures. The floor going from the sleeping area is lifting. There are holes in the bathroom. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!! Spend a little more money and stay elsewhere!!!

The key card system is broken so the desk had to manually unlock our room. The deadbolt didn't work - it was cracked. The "queen" beds were decidedly doubles. I'm glad I brought a pillow since each bed only had one and we had 2 adults, a child and an infant. There were cigarette burns on the bedspreads and sheets. There were no towels. There was no trashcan. Also the floor was sticky, the sheets scratchy and one bed had hairs in it and seemed to have been slept in since the sheets were last changed. There was something that looked like a smear of blood on the bathroom door. The shower door didn't close. In the morning the room next to us had a door ajar and on our floor there were 3 rooms with broken door handles. We had planned on a two night stay but checked out early!

Worst , horrible experience ever. “Better stay in rest area than this”.

We checked in by at around 2am. Once we checked , the front desk handed us the keys and said there is no wifi and when asked him about the room ,he told us it is cleaned. But once we entered the room it was not cleaned , restroom sink was not working, there were footsteps in bathroom, the room was stinky and it was horrible. There were not enough pillows and blankets. We asked him he provided us with an extra pillow and a blanket. But both were stinking. The room full of stinking horrible smell and there were lots of musquitoes and insects in the room. When we try to use restroom sink tap the water wasn’t clean. We tried to sleep. We couldn’t stand. So we went back to talk to him we could’t reach , front desk was closed till morning 8am. So we left the key in the front desk and checked out from there.

It’s really a horrible place to stay. Everywhere we were getting stinking smell. Not recommended at all.

The place was very run down. They seriously need a lot of maintenance. Prices are not high but little tidyness is definitely required for the price. We stayed here 2 nights in August 2021 and were given Room#108. The room didn't have the key card because they said there is a problem with it but they have a physical key at 24 hour front desk. Next morning we had to leave and forgot something inside the room, we asked the 24 hour desk person who said the other employee went out somewhere and must be coming back. We waited about 25 mins because apparently she was the only person with the only key and had gone out walking with her kid. The linens were okay, room was dirty (even big trash items can be seen - if not vacuum then at least they should pick up trash) and bathroom was a smelly. Bugs were everywhere inside the room and they didn't have any bug spray. They had 2 towels for three people because apparently their washer was broken (how do they wash stuff then?). They had advertised Free Breakfast on Hotels.com but there was no breakfast at all. Locality is nice though. Had couple of grocery and restaurants around. Would not recommend. Find another place around if you can

I booked a room an was not given a clean room. Dirty sheets dirty shower could not use either one. Could not even sit in the sheets. Two managers working both of which would not issu a refund for the room. Said that I dirtied the room. Which I did not. Raquel an john. There is a refund policy just that they are allowed to get away with illegal stuff. Have reached out to someone about the refund. Should not have to pay for something you don't use.
