it was very clean. Nice linens and a very comfortable bed. We had the room with the en suite bathroom which I recommend, as I believe the other bathroom is private but you have to come out to the hall to use it. The owners were very nice. So the negatives were the staircase is very steep, I didn't catch the fact that the bedrooms were on second floor so I suggested that a photo of the stairs on their website would had been helpful. So the worst thing was we could not sleep, even with the fan on high and only using sheets for cover, as the room was SO HOT. It was cold outside so they definitely had turned the heat on and the room was just miserable. Once the owners were there in the morning making breakfast, they must have turned the heat way down because it was notibly better. We got in late after we left from checking in and my manners wouldn't let me call this elderly couple after midnight about the heat because they had called to meet us there to check us in, so I assumed they lived somewhere else and would not had been able to adjust it. Anyhow, if it hadn't been my bad hip navigating the stairs and most of all not having a controllable thermostat in the room, then yes it was a charming and again, very clean place to stay. I would stay there again if I could have the temperature set good and be prepared with a few Motrin for the stairs. Not to be negative, but as a nurse I want to make sure the reader is aware, that the stairs are very steep and even my twenty-year old daughter slipped and almost tumbled down in case that could be an issue for anyone.

With kids aged 5 and 2, I was a little hesitant to stay at a bed and breakfast. I wasn't sure if a BnB would be a good fit for kids who want to explore and play with everything. But Jay and Charlotte were very welcoming and made sure our stay was comfortable. The screened in porch was full of toys and games that kept our kids (and us) occupied for hours. In addition to the fresh fruit cups, all the food Charotte and Jay cooked was exceptional- blueberry coffee cake, a breakfast cake that used the similar spices as carrot cake (cant remember the name, but chef's kiss), quiche, and breakfast casserole. And when one of our kids refused to eat anything with fruit in it, they provided him with cheerios! The rooms were spotless, and the beds were super comfortable. We really couldn't have imagined a better place to stay. Thank you!

We had a trip planned to visit our son in Oxford, OH. When we began the search for hotels in the area we were shocked to see how high the prices were. We stumbled upon Doctor’s Inn and loved the idea of a bed and breakfast. The price was right and it looked really cute. It did not disappoint. We absolutely loved our stay. It turned out that it was a quiet weekend and we were the only occupants there! The owners, Jay and Charlotte, were so sweet. It was a pleasure to get to know them and chat each morning at breakfast! Charlotte shared about the history of the home and community. Be sure to ask her about the history if you can. The room was comfy and clean. Amenities were just what we needed for our stay. Breakfast each morning was home made and delicious.
We highly recommend Doctor’s Inn. Especially if you have students at Miami University in Oxford. Only a 10 minute drive and well worth it!!

We stayed for two nights to visit our Miami University student. Straight and quick (less than 10 minutes) drive to Oxford. Theresa and Brian are friendly hosts and really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Late check in was no problem. Brian was kind enough to offer us a glass of wine to help us wind down. The home was very clean and nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable and the towels were as soft and plush as any upscale place we have stayed. We all enjoyed our made to order breakfast and they were very gracious to allow us to have our son and friend join us even though they didn't spend the night at the Inn. The eggs Benedict and apple cinnamon french toast were favorites! The only negative that I can think of is the home is near a train track and we did hear the train rumble by both nights. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and highly recommend The Doctors Inn.

Lovely home run by lovely people. Visiting Jay and Charlotte is like visiting family. Breakfast is light (savory and sweet muffins, coffee, tea - if you give them a heads up, they can make them gluten free) and delicious. The beds are very comfortable and the towels are soft. A wonderful retreat.

My fiancee and I enjoyed our stay very much. We had never stayed in a B & B before so didn't know what to expect. Brian and Teresa made us feel very comfortable and at home right from the start. The house had been newly renovated and looked very nice. The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was tasty with plenty to choose from. Great choice for anyone staying in College Corner or nearby Oxford.

Friendliness of staff, quality of room and services.

The hospitality of the very nice couple running this property is unmatched. It's like chatting with old friends, rather than the owners of a very distinctive, unusual hotel.

Alas, owners Brian and Teresa are moving on to another phase of their life. I am guessing the new owners will also make guests feel welcome.

The rooms are comfy and distinctive and the custom breakfasts (ordered the night before) delicious.

I'm very sorry to report that, owing to a problem with my sim card, all my lovely photos of The Doctor's Inn are gone. A 'stock' photo will have to suffice.

Thank you, Brian and Teresa. ||||Very comfortable accommodations. Attentive to everything we needed for a wonderful stay, including the Romance Package for our Anniversary. They even served Eggs Benedict for breakfast at our request.||||The Nautical room was very spacious with a private bath. Very comfortable bed and luxurious bedding and linens.||||The Doctor's Inn is just minutes from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. For being in a small town, we found no lack of enjoyable things to occupy our time. Good eateries ... American, Italian, Chinese, Mexican ... no shortage of choices.||||Remember to check out local events. We found a great show playing at Hall Auditorium on the Miami University campus. Harlem 100 featuring Mwenso & The Shakes on their national tour! Wouldn't have thought that. What an amazing blues and jazz performance. It made for an enjoyable evening you would expect in a large city center, only it was in a beautiful country college town.||||If you are nature lovers, like us, there are two state parks close by, Hueston Woods and Whitewater at Brookville Lake. Go for a walk and enjoy the scenery.||||If you are wine lovers, talk to Brian, he'll fill you in and might even share a glass (or two or three) with you.||||What a great place and gracious hosts.
