Three couples ( Seniors) and our first visit to Vino. I'll share the good and the bad. Good : our waiter was excellent - friendly and attentive. We loved the hostess- she was "in charge ".Food : I had the yellowfin tuna served "barely cooked" was fantastic and I did not share. Everyone loved their meals and the appies. The Bad : We dined outside and it got a little "buggy" and "sticky". Place could use a fan or two.

My wife and I took a much needed break from packing up her and her son’s house to move them out West (Utah & Colorado respectively), and WOW! What a delicious, enjoyable dinner ? We shared the 3 dip plate with pita chips and all three dips and the chips were delicious. We also shared the Salmon Kabob and Kale salad which both landed perfectly as well. A bit odd, but we finished off our dinner with calamari for desert, which was as good as the reviews, tender, not too chewy and the light breading was delicious! We sat outside as it was a super pleasant night for June. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Absolutely love this place. Very classy, staff is amazing and their food is delicious. The date night pasta is flavorful, their lamb falls off the bone and I have not had anything bad there ever. Well worth the trip.

Let me tell ya… this place has EVERYTHING on point. As soon as we walked in, the hostesses was excited to see us. She sat us at our table and then we fell in love with our waitress. The food was AMAZING. I’ve lived in Birmingham for 5 years and this was the best experience/food I’ve e experienced. The cucumber mojito and dirty martini was perfect. The oysters were perfect. The penne pasta was perfect. START TO TO FINISH… PERFECTION. Hands down, best place in Birmingham.

My husband and I ate here on a Saturday night and the outside atmosphere was very romantic with tree lights and white table linens. We had oysters and the artichoke dip…yummy! Then we had the Mediterranean and strawberry/walnut salads…again amazing ? For our main course my husband ordered the hangar steak, which was delicious and I ordered the tenderloin medallions, which should have been great but the temperature was wrong. They made it up and comp’d the order, so that was great!
All in all, a great place for date night and we’ll go again!

Nestled in the quaint English Village area of Mountainbrook (Birmingham,) the restaurant sits on a corner with a great view of a cute neighborhood. Our experience was outside in the courtyard, so I can't speak much of the interior. They appear to have a couple of indoor wine bars with an array of fine art.
The menu features an impressive wine selection (and coctails.)
We enjoyed a fantastic dinner. My wife had the Wild Salmon Kbob and i went with the fish of the night - Swordfish! Our meals were prompt, hot, and scrumptious!

Will definitely return!

I'm writing to express my extreme disappointment with my recent experience at Vino on June 10th 2024 for my birthday dinner. We arrived just 3 minutes after our reservation time, but unfortunately, we had to wait to be seated.

Once seated, we placed our drink orders and an appetizer promptly. However, after waiting 30 minutes, we still hadn't received our drinks. An hour after being seated, our waiter finally came to take our dinner order, but concerningly, he made no eye contact with any of us during the process. Unfortunately, our appetizer also hadn't arrived yet.

Throughout this time, we noticed the waiter attentively serving 3 other tables around us, refilling their water, delivering food and drinks, while completely bypassing our table. We observed him walk past us at least 5-6 times, with a water pitcher even though our glasses were empty.

After waiting an additional hour for our food, with no improvement in service, and the time nearing 8:30 pm, we were incredibly hungry and frustrated. Regretfully, we decided to leave the restaurant. We left money to cover the drinks (which we did receive after a long wait) but not the appetizer we never got.

When we informed the waiter of our decision to leave, he finally acknowledged the issue. Disappointingly, he admitted that he completely forgot about our appetizer and never even placed the order with the kitchen.

This experience was incredibly disappointing, especially since I was looking forward to celebrating my birthday at Vino. I would appreciate it if you could investigate this matter to ensure such a lapse in service doesn't happen to other guests.
